This is the part of our team that is always bittersweet for me. I fear that Ous is on the way to follow Poku and Tre. It can't just be the shooting, scoring and playmaking that he improves on. The team has that IN SPADES. I think he has to vastly improve on defense, do a lot of the duty work, if he is to be the backup 4.

Tre had a great showing when he was getting minutes with the Hornets. Tre is a great 6th man on the team to run the second unit OR played along an oversized guard (LeMelo) as a ball hawk (his steals are one of the most impressive parts of his game) who can shoot nearly 40% from 3. Poku really didn't have any defense. Dieng can be a #2 option on a winning team, he just needs a green light. I wish he was on the Nets, Spurs, or Washington. Sorry for the nerd ahh response lmao

Definitely the pivotal time. Not a good sign he was cut by France, and in spite of his G League success has not translated into an aggressive Giannis-lite as I have felt. Agreed with your take.

Ous can hit the three, and he can be a rim protector now with the size and weight he has put on. He has the potential, just needs to prove it.

I remember years ago hoping that we could end up with Chet, Dieng and Poku in the starting 5. When we drafted them they all looked like unicorns. Very skilled big men who could probably play 3, 4 and 5. Then it became very apparent that Poku wasn't going to put his frame and his skills to good use and Dieng is kind of the same. At least Chet is great though.

Dieng uses his frame. It’s just at the NBA level he is not consistent. He does well one game then the next plays horribly. He just needs to be consistent is all

He is just Darius Bazley II. Biggest problems, one mental and one skill: not assertive or decisive enough; and can't handle the ball AT ALL. Truly one of the worst ball-handlers, dribblers, etc., that I have ever seen.

As usual we have all these picks draft players then trade them for peanuts. We are better off just packaging a tonne of picks plus good quality players like Ous. Then get someone like a Lauri to win within the next 2-3 years.

ous is shy and does not like the cameras and reporters. he could be scoring 20 and crashing the boards and be a dog on defense and sometimes he does for a minute or two but then the shy ous decides if he was player of the game there would be a camera stuck in his face and he turns it off. i would have him practice taking reporters questions 15 minutes a day until he was comfortable with the post game attention and maybe he would turn on the ous to 100% do the thunder have a media coach?
