I have an Exter, purchased it on 21st July, it's giving me an average of 9-10, maybe due to new engine consuming petrol in the first month. I find it's average like Creta. Drive quality is amazing, especially the gear shifta are less noticable than Punch (it's horrible). Although yes you can feel bump due to less ground clearance, but ride comfort and especially handling is amazing, very light stearing. Overall very happy with my purchase 😃

@@OfcXyz Hi, I think the mileage would go up by 16-18 as company claims 19. I would suggest going for a CNG version if your running is around 40kms, although I personally drive more than 40kms but I preferred an AMT version. I got this car for 10.5 Sx (O) without connect tech, I tried Brezza, Swift, i10 and Punch (took me 3 months to research 😅).... Brezza was over budget, I didn't like Punch tbh as the engine was not up to the mark. Exter is a great balance of features, comfort and engine. So I would highly recommend it.

@@OfcXyz I even had booked i10 Nios Asta.... But when this was launched I cancelled the booking and switched to Exter as this was the right car as the right price. i10 costed me 9.8 LPA, Swift ZXI Plus was 10.2 so this one was still better price wise

I think if you live in a city with excessive bumper to bumper traffic, AMT makes lot more sense. If your patch doesn’t include that much, even a Manual would do. That too is quite crisp in terms of shifting, but Hyundai’s clutches seem to get harder over time.

@@ICN oh well we just got an amt baleno last month n took it to the hills in uttrakhand, man that engine coughs when in steep climbs, smh!! but over all in city , with light pedal , my better half is loving the drive.the light footed gear shifts are way more smoother than the floored acceleration attempts (fails) .i cant rate it but i would still prefer to drive a cvt over amt anyday!!! :P

@@ICN Nice video loved it Vikasbhai :), recently I was looking for a AMT car for my wife we test drove Baleno AMT at 2 different showrooms both were giving headnod (expected) + a strange judder in addition after gear shifting which I did not like where as we tried grand i10 nios its AMT had headnods but it was smooth without any judders. At the end ended up purchasing i10 nios AMT. Not sure why maruti AMT had that judder if you noticed similar thing would be good to hear from you about the reason for it. Thanks.

My experience with Exter AMT. Over 600km trip with city+highway+2 hour traffic on highway +hills drive, it is getting 15.2kmpl. Before I stuck in highway traffic it was getting 18 KMPL. For just daily drives of 10-20 km in tier-1 city it is getting 11-12kmpl on average. For less congested tier-2/tier-3 city it will get more.

Depending on where you live, you can even get entry level nexon (manual) for less than 9 lakh.. And if I'm not mistaken, nexon amt starts at 9.3 lakh.. I feel nexon will be a very good option... I like my punch very much.. But objectively speaking nexon (if budget allows you) is a better option than punch...

go with 10 bro... driving dynamics and stability is best in hatchback than suv and rest of them is very similar from engine to interior.

If your driving includes bad roads (which are a plenty on our roads post monsoon), this will give you a better ride. Its suspensions are tuned to absorb undulations better. Because of that, it may not be as stable on corners (and has more body roll while changing lanes at high speeds) as low slung car like Grand i10, but if you drive sedately it makes more sense.

How horrible would be the mileage with 4 person. My new Santro which is an entry level car gives the mileage of 13 on highway with 3 person and 2 kids on AC. Mileage is the main concern in Hyundai cars. However the ride quality, engine and cabin noise, clutch, interiors are so smooth and amazing. Its fun to drive hyundai cars .

If you use CNG , engine life reduces quite a lot. Check with a CNG Taxi owner/driver.
