I love the crazy coins I find at the bank near me. Sadly I know a lot of them were probably stolen. Like a 1/10 Oz gold coin someone used at face value. And I get proof coins all the time from there and older coins that look uncirculated like they had been in a holder until recently.

@@elon_muskrat They usually just sell them to me. Plus I've become friends with a few workers as well and some of them put old or weird coins aside for me. It helps out a lot.

The "9" on the 1957 D penny at 11:30 looks really strange. Almost looks like a die chip got stuck in the round part which hindered it from stamping a complete 9.

Umm Shaun, could you please look at a Lincoln Memorial Penny that I got in change, its a 1984 D? Its been around the block a few times butn not too badly worn down, eveb has full steps. It looks likevthe right upper part of the "Y" in Liberty is shooting Lincon in the back of the head, it looks as Tho maybe a piece of the Die was missing???? IDK how better to describe it. It looks like Lincoln is being shot in the back of his head, not a Delamination or ANYTHING I'VE SEEN B4. And I'd LOVE to get your Opinion if I should have it Slabbed or not. I'll gladly send pics if you are willing to. Thanks for ALL YOUR INFO AND HELP!

I think that in 20 years the Collecting Scene will be a Return to the 50’s style collecting. Too many up and new collectors will start buying and collecting as They Self Grade because the Hobby has Out Priced Newbie’s.

I have a 1943 steel penny that under a microscope appears to have a D mint mark printed on the bottom of the jacket, not sure if this is a error.

That's a good question. I know that on some coins minted in the late 19th century you'll find partial, or sometimes full, mint marks stamped on other parts of the coin. I don't recall the reasoning behind it, and I'm not sure if they continued to do this into the 20th century. I'm curious to know the answer.

The 1916 DDO is way overgraded! Jack Beymer bemoaned the gradeflation of Buffalo Nickels by 3rd party plastic; just reference your ANA Grading Guide; not even a full horn, ouch!
