Good evening, Professor G!! Thank you for sharing this market research summary by Mr Lee. I sure do enjoy listening to what he has to say! Whew....he is quite bullish on the upcoming year! Lets hope he is correct!! Down in the trenches though, as I walk around and talk to the store owners in my tourist town, they seem to be feeling more pressure lately as compared to any time since the pandemic mandatory shutdown March-June 2020. So, we'll see. The interest rates are remaining higher than I certainly thought they would; as well as that observation frequently comes up in discussion with the small business owners. I really liked hearing your assessment of GRNY. I liked the approach of those different themes. Though, like you eluded, many of those selected holdings would be found in some of the growth portions of the various 3 fund strategies out there. So, only currently investing $500/month, I'll stick to the mainstream growth ETFs such as SCHG, for now. Once I unload our Palm Springs property, and increase our monthly investments to somewhere between 5k-9k per month, I could see applying a sliver in this fund.

In actuality, the function of an investment advisor is sometimes disregarded, but it should never be undervalued. I made the decision to see an investment advisor in 2020 because I was unable to handle my investments on my own and suffered a substantial portfolio loss during the COVID pandemic. I still had roughly $126K in my portfolio at the time. Thanks to my subsequent investments, I am now semi-retired, working only 7.5 hours a week, and only 15% away from my $1 million retirement objective.

This is incredible. Could you recommend who you work with? I really could use some help at this moment.

My CFA is Annette Marie Holt, a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.

Investors in GRNY should understand Tom Lee isn’t a crystal ball lol While he preaches investing in long term trends for the fund it clearly is not based on fundamentals or valuation seeing as though the largest holdings are Tesla & Axon which are near term momentum plays egregiously valued relative to their growth, meaning I’d expect this fund to get destroyed in a bear market.

My gut tells me no because of the expense fee.
@NolanGouveia10 күн бұрын
That fee is pretty high
@RichDiaz-h7w10 күн бұрын
@ my cut off for a expense fee is around .5%. Only exception I have is for the etf DIVO. I started a small position in it. I also own VOO, qqqm, Schd :-), dgro, avuv and dividend paying stocks.

Wanna outperform? Ok, then why ARKK or GRNY or BTC? If you want more reward for more risk, then just better try a x2 Leveraged ETF. If you don't can handle the risk/vola then simply stick to VOO or SCHD. Higher reward evertimes comes with more vola/risk. Hint: TER is irrelevant if it truly outperforms, if not, avoid, even if TER is low.

How is this different than other ETF also holding lots of large cap. SCHD comes to mind with holdings like that. The idea it will magically grow 400% is more like faith believed growth number. I see a crypto like mentality here. Looks more like Tom Lee is fund raising to buy stocks. Its starting price was already too high to begin with.

Just pour all your money into one of those insanely overvalued tech ETFs because apparently that’s the only sector that matters.

That’s one way to do it 🫣
@TheLethargicAge9 күн бұрын
@ I’m convinced it’s the only way to do it. It’s the only sector that grows and clearly retail investors couldn’t care less about valuations, macro risk, etc.

Based on what Trump is going to judge success, does that mean he thinks Biden did an amazing job? He would have to say Biden did great beaue the stock market has been on a total streak.

@@republicunited2183haha, typical MAGAT. What was the stock market under Obama? Up 148%. Trump only managed only 56% even though Obama had the economy teed up for him, but what do you expect from someone who bankrupted casinos. Biden is up 48% that’s even after Trump screwed up the economy during Covid. You probably forgot about that. But stick to your willful ignorance.
@criminalelement49410 күн бұрын
@@republicunited2183 Not really true. If you've been following finance for anytime, you know admin policies take about 2 years before we can see any effect. So for the first 2 years of Trump admin, policies were still Obamas and Trump rode that wave until about 2 years into his admin when his policies and moves started to take shape. Then Trump and everyone else fumbled covid in 2020 that landed us where we were through 2022. This is just factual history. Its also a high level summery.
