Most people know Winston Soso on the big stage, but I knew Clymax with Sos, one of the best ever Caribbean singer who was equally proficient in R&B as calypso .. I remember Winston singing with Clymax when they just arrived and were unknown in New York in a little club on Flatbush Ave playing in front of less than 50 people..I remember the reaction of women when he sang R&B and this Trini guyl asking me to introduce her to him in Dr Wax club on Church and Utica.. The last time I saw him perform was in St Croix and it gave me much joy to boast to my friends about our association.. regardless of how big any of his hits were, there will never be any bigger in my mind than “Dianne” with Clymax… thanks for the memories Sos, sad to see you leave us

Ralph Kambui Edwards: Many persons don’t know he was national goalkeeper for St Vincent and the Grenadines in the 70’s. A man of many talents with such a sweet voice, Rest well Winston.

@Ralph Kambui Edwards, My most favorite songs for Soso are those he did with Clymax and my overall favorite is “Dance How Yuh Feel” released in 1980. Something I found very strange is that he hardly (if ever) sang any of those in his numerous performances. Besides “Diane”, many of the younger fans are not familiar with songs like “Vincy Spree” , “Sweet Tempo”, “Vincy Style In July” and my #1 Soso/Clymax Jam already mentioned above.

@@Randy-Roberts I was responsible for Dance how you feel.. Frank Smith of Rainbow Terrace sponsored the recording.. Clymax didn't go as far as they should have because they had no idea of the business and were hard headed.. when they were struggling in N.Y. I advised them to advertise as 2 bands to get club gigs .. Clymax as a calypso band and Mwata as a reggae band but they ignored me..they had the talent to be as big as Third World, but musicians are very difficult to deal with..all the players were excellent but only Barnett was friendly and outgoing.. as a Trinidadian I can say that St Vincent have some of the best musicians in the Caribbean and Clymax was one of the best ever, except they wouldn't dance on stage.. Clymax holds a place in my memory
