I learned the whole “desperate desire” mindset when the narcissist entered my life at 45 years old. I had it “all” except a man. I wanted one. Didn’t realize I was operating in desperate desire. What a lesson I learned. Never knew what a narcissist was was until later in life. I will never make any decisions based on that again. I was given what I asked for with a twist. I got a demon.
@Heat_Rush5 күн бұрын

Hey. I do appreciate your perspective. It's so needed. I'm a therapist. I would love for you to talk about the trauma responses black people have growing up around those things. I appreciate how you went to the "extreme" of not doing anything because of the things you saw. I know you mentioned a trauma bond. But some people have a trauma response which is a bit different. There's the other extreme of people getting into situations as a trauma response. It's an explanation not an excuse. Both are dependent of people's support system, sense of self, hope resilience etc. I hope I'm explaining that right lol.

@mrs.camilliajones35606 күн бұрын
That girl was taking percs recreational. I've known and seen addiction up close (not saying she's an addict) but her story doesn't add up. An average person that isn't dabbling or struggling isn't just taking prescription meds especially ones in the military! My bro is in the military & was having horrible hip pain and eventually had surgery. He couldn't take pain meds like percs for an extended period of time because he was still active. A lot of things in her story raised red flags to me. Like he wouldn't have had much to hang over her head if she wasn't doing things to be ashamed of herself, she came off like a throw the rock & hide your hand type of chic. Also doctors rarely give narcotic pain meds for migraines because they can often give you what's referred to as a rebound headcahe. So it kind of defeats the purpose.

Formal education in the sense of obtaining a high school diploma, Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree , or Master’s degree does not equate to self actualization. Your parents, family members, and environment aids in the development of the person not the education. Formal education teaches you how to be contextual intelligent in a classroom setting. Moreover, competence yields confidence. Explaining the why when directing women will further yield positive results. I don’t believe the women who are making the same mistakes as those who came before them are competent. Some maybe developmental delayed.
