For me the most underrated is Frederique Constant and Montblanc (Minerva) the quality for money is unmatched. Their manufacture movements are one of the best for money. Christopher Ward = Farer I would even prefer Farer because of unique DNA and smile which those watches gives you. Quality is the same and sometimes even better on Farer watches. Hamilton is in the same level as Mido, which is tier above Tissot and Certina but tier down vs Longines, Union etc.

I wouldn’t say Blancpain is overrated cause the design language of the brand does speak to me, but yes I agree the Fifty Fathoms is overpriced. I recently bought a pre-owned standard steel Fifty Fathoms for my 29 birthday after exposed to the brand by the Swatch collab. I would love to own the new FF 42mm in titanium but the retail price is ridiculously expensive. For now I am happy with my pre-owned FF

checking out the channel for the first time. Great style and conversation, just subbed. I own the AP 15510 SS black dial but what is beating it hands down as my daily is the VC overseas chrono reverse panda black dial. Such a beast, weight, craftsmanship, finishing and movement. Have you guys had that one on the wrist before? Retail is way too high imo but you can pick one up grey market nice discount. Worth a look.

Good stuff guys 👍 I’d have loved to see a close up of your watches during wristcheck 😄👍 I don’t know about Bvlgary… heck a watch brand with some crazy capabilities. I’d not downgrade them. Old brand known for high end jewelery rather than perfume and watches for about 50 years. Piaget I think deserves more cred but I don’t like their style. I am with you on Tag. Also can’t agree more on GP, it’s way underrated and Laureato is not even the top of their games. And for the record I’m so glad I didn’t sell it to chase the next Rolex, and instead kept it because I love it and enjoy wearing it. Excellent craftsmanship and superb clous de Paris dial. I prefer its softer lines and curves to the AP more angular lines personally. That’s what attracted me to it in the high end integrated bracelet steel sport watch offerings. Btw with regards to CW, glad they finally figured out their logo 😁 and I have a LE Bel Canto on preorder since last year that should land later this summer 😛 Keep up the good work.

"You can't take one watch and rank it with Patek and AP." Isn't that exactly what AP has? Just the Royal Oak? They used to have interesting watches but now they've become like Rolex.
@TheWatchBros4 ай бұрын
They have a lot more than the RO. The most interesting of them is the Code 11.59 with many versions and complications. So no, it’s not just one watch.
@revenanke31324 ай бұрын
@@TheWatchBros The Code is the only other watch that isn't a RO variant, and I never see people wear or talk about it. AP is The Royal Oak Watch Company and a sliver of their heritage. I personally think Patek is in a class of their own that only A Lange has been able to challenge, and cringe whenever "the holy trinity" is mentioned, lumping VC and AP in with them.
@TheWatchBros3 ай бұрын
@@revenanke3132I own 3 of the houses you’ve mentioned. I can say that they are all in a special class. The finish work from AP is noticeably higher than Patek. Pateks dressier design language is second to none, and Lange is the the all around package. Side note… not sure if you caught it in the video, but Lange uses AP to provide many of their pieces with their cases. I also have a AP Code 11.59 Starwheel and can attest that hands down it’s one of the most beautiful watches I’ve laid eyes on. That case has so much character with the soul of something traditional. The blending of sport and dress in that piece is just a feat that is rarely seen in modern watch making. We’re happy you’ve found us and look forward to chatting some more in the future 👊 - Jason

There's a lot of truth in that statement and cannot disagree with it at all. We're just so excited that they've finally woke up in the past few years! A bit slow pace. The first section of this should have been 3 min not almost 10min. AP Royal Oak .. After bashing Rolex for not being creative here we have watch shape so over played there is a casio version. AP beat the drum too long on that design and haven't done much more. They seem to have two watch designs and that's it... the royal oak and code 11.59.
@TheWatchBros3 ай бұрын
I don't disagree necessarily. But both lines in AP are more creative, better finished, better movements, and a much better bracelet than Rolex. Although they're 3 to 5 times more at retail too. So I guess they better be.

Let us know what you think and how you would rank differently. The list comes up at the beginning of the video. We’d like to hear your opinion 👊 - Jason
@almeladze3 ай бұрын
@@TheWatchBros Jason, it's not even about that specific ranking. You guys are right - there are a bunch of them out there and they all have debatable points. I was more referring to opinions expressed about Ulysse Nardin, Bvlgari, Piaget, Chopard, etc. For example, Piaget is one of the OG movement makers who used to duke it out with JLC in the thin movement contest. I know one of youz said that thin watches aren't your thing but in the watch space it is a real thing. Piage's antiplano watches are on par with some of the top dawg offerings from the holy trinity. Their pieces go as high as several hundred thousand dollars. They are an extremely reputable watchmaker that's not very hyped right now. Bvlgari - yes they are "relatively new" in watches but they have proper horological chops having purchased Gerald Genta and Daniel Roth manufactures. They do amazing retrogrades and the Octo Finissimo line has been smashing it. They have everything from tourbs to minute repeaters in the ultra-thin category. and who doesn't like Italian connection and Italian design? it's Michelangelo Buonarotti speaking to us through Fabrizion Buonamassa Stigliani! Come on maan! You said that you like GPs but "hate" UNs. They are the same company now. UN makes amazing timepieces - Sonata, Khingiz Khan, Royal Blue tourb, Freak.... Their perpetual calendar which can be adjusted in both directions is a marvel. they invented the easiest-to-use in the biz GMT plus minus system. they pioneered silicon use in movements before everyone else realized the advantages of this technology. they have the best in the biz grand feu enamel manufacturing capability...OK, you don't like their marine designs but they have the largest number of precision world records in the marine chronometer category and to this day supply so many navies with their instruments. There is so much more to them than the diver designs that you don't care for. I encourage you to watch Nico Lenard's recent videos about UN. It will be an eye-opener )
@TheWatchBros3 ай бұрын
I'll have to check that out. I like some of the Piaget pieces, but just not a big fan of their overall lineup. I can appreciate Bvlgari, but my not my cup of tea... personal preference. I do think some of their vintage stuff is beautiful. I know UN purchased GP, but still prefer GP design language of UN. I do think I need to take a deep dive into the brand after reading your comment tho. I love to geek out over history milestones and complication developments. Thanks for sharing and I'll do some more reading on UN... and probably Piaget too. I'm excited to learn more! - Jason
