Tucker is undoubtedly a better player than Bellinger but given what Yankees would’ve had to give to get Tucker for one year as opposed to Bellinger, the latter is the better trade. Also, Tucker will be a free agent next year and if the Yankees really want him then, they can go after him without giving anyone up.

@@redpillbrotherhood110 -- I don't think they will or should get both Walker and Arenado, two players in their mid 30s. They'll probably get one of Walker, Arenado or Bregman and either trade for a younger infielder or start Ben Rice at 1B if they think he's ready. If they get Bellinger, Dominguez will almost certainly start at LF next season. They could also try to get Tucker before the trade deadline if the Cubs are out of it.

@BlackSabbath10019 Fair enough. Now that they got Beli, I'd sign Walker for 1B and make a cheaper signing like Urshela for a 3B platoon. Then go all in on Tucker next offseason, and like you said, maybe trade for him at the deadline. But tbh, I think the Cubs will win the central next year. Ideally, they'd get one more good starter and/or a solid closer like Tanner Scott. Cubs would be a very good team if they add let's say Pivetta and Scott

Yankees fucked up by not getting Tucker. That and Fried/Williams moved would have pardoned them from not getting Soto. Tucker will be 400-450 mil at end of 2025, not 765. Now they should pivot and trade for Beli, sign Walker for 1B and if they still have the $, then sign Santander or Bregman. Trading for Arenado could also work, after getting Beli.

What I Don't like about bellinger is that its going to be extremely awkward for him. His wife is Giancarlo Stanton's ex gf. Imagine how weird that is going to be? This might effect them both, or it might not, since it was years ago. But this to say the least is not ideal for the clubhouse. I want a clean locker room where guys get along. I much would've perferred tucker. No issues, No ex girlfriend. I just hope this is not going to be bad for The Yankee fans. Smh
