I really like this one! Nice layout overall. The bathroom is kinda small but seems like it would work. Especially for the size of the RV. I like the decor, the breakfast bar, the storage around the bed and the kitchen layout has plenty of counter space.

I'm liking a lot about this one...but if the slide is in you would have trouble getting to the bar stools, but not a deal breaker since you could run the slide out a little when you make a road stop. A better setup for the bed drawers might be to raise the bottom of the compartment higher and make the bottom drawer full depth. An idea for the tp holder would be to mount it inside the right-hand door under the sink. I mounted one there in our rockwood 2109s; ours didn't even have one. Love the shower and all the bedroom storage. Full queen is a plus. The pantry is killer. Can't really tell, and you didn't mention, what size is the oven. As I've said in other comments, I use the oven a lot and like the bigger one. Thank you, again, for a great review!

We have had the 2020 version for 4 summers. It has been an excellent couples camper. No complaints. It is also small enough to quickly clean every inch every trip so that it stays like new. We really like the bar seating. No sweat pulling it with a v8 Tundra. Feels very safe. I prefer the 110/propane fridge that we have, and the 110/propane water heater. We have never run out of hot water. I like the aluminum framing, azdel, and pvc roof. Storage has not been a problem either. The road mode isnt bad. You can reach the bathroom, fridge, both sinks, stove, oven, utensils, and counter easilly. Just put the slide out a few inches if you need to get up front. I have also used it solo for fishing and hunting trips. The light weight and double axles take away a lot of the worry. I also use after market load leveler, tpms, rear camera, and battery switch. We dont have a solar setup. The small size makes for easy parking.

We love our Surveyor 202RBLE. Never had any major issues. Tows great with my GMC 1/2 ton with a 5.3 even in the mountains. Love the many great changes and upgrades from our 2021 model. Azdel sides, PVC roof and a rack and pinion slide were selling points for me but the ceiling height and open plan make it great and comfortable for us.

They did a great job on this trailer. I love the interior color. I myself like the breakfast countertop models that you can take advantage of or use the space for a dog bed. The room around the toilet is a bit non fluffy compliant & I like your idea to hold on to the tp roll holder if you need help. I like the amount of storage they are maximizing & the sink cover. We have this model camper in a 2021 year model. One of our favorite features is the window in the kitchen. I can be cooking outside and someone can be handing me items I might need back and forth through the window. Black out shades would be a great up grade. Drawers on the bed is a nice upgrade as well.

For a slide model, this is awesome!!! But the battery disconnect needs to be moved to inside storage area for security purposes. Also that outside fridge is not 12 v. I would take it out first thing & use storage. Great walk thru Josh! #rvnerdfan

Ah snap (nerd alert). I see you Surveyor. Best compliment I can give Surveyor is they're moving up market and giving Rockwood a run for their money. Things I like better about this than the similar Rockwood floorplan: mini bar with stools, LOVE the decor, bathroom layout, outside mini kitchen, dual backsplash/sink cover, ladder mount instead of attached ladder, and CC capacity, hitch weight. Nice friggin little rig. Only serious ask would be upgraded vent fans and stabilizers.

This is a great setup! I love it. Although…. I have to make a few recommendations. If FR was to make this full body laminate construction and change those axles to at the very least the same capacity in a torsion axle or trailing suspension, then they’d probably have an extremely desirable rig. If I was to buy this, I’d immediately swap those axles to a torsion suspension at the very least. Oh! Euro windows would be a major plus too.

That's how Rockwoods were built previously but they swapped from laminated floors because they found their RVs needed some place for stress to express Lot of RV engineering has found similar. Whether it's a floor, roof, rear wall, or wherever - they need SOME place they can flex a bit

I like their color change up this year. Warmer...cozy. Looks nice! I don't know what could be done for this bathroom, but I will say. If it comes to sacrificing space...give e toilet space and string the vanity. Having a tight toilet space is a del breaker. Shame too, because this is a nice one.

Note on Camp Queen: I am 6’4” and I have decided if my wife sleeps I don’t care if if we are sleeping in the floor. 21DS has camp queen and it really wasn’t a problem all summer. Now bendy beds are a hard no, but the camp queen hasn’t been so bad that I would disregard a camper just for that reason…at least in a North South Bed layout

Northwood should take note of this in tear being a really great balance between country and modern, I really like it! The cargo capacity to trailer weight ratio on this is off the charts, durability long term should be good when it comes to the rolling earthquake

Yeah they basically say "What axles do we need for our biggest unit?" Then they just use those regardless of model. It's borderline overkill in some models but I don't seem to see these falling apart

I love this floorplan . I prefer a mounted ladder because I attach a lightweight rack to it that allows me to strap a few chairs to the ladder, but either option is fine with me. I really like the countertop bar on these models and the dual axles on a smaller trailer. Thanks for the video.

For what it's worth I do not recommend ever strapping anything to the ladder in transit. Light weight or note. It's only designed to handle weight while the RV is at rest

Big Truck Big RV just bought a Surveyor for his KZbin channel. I’m interested in seeing how well it holds up for him and how good the quality control is. Their floor plans and storage is spot on. Their smaller trailers are light weight and towable by my Tacoma. I’m interested in this brand but reliability is priority for me.

I really like this layout and the full Queen bed, but I LOVE the fact that the CCC is 35% of the GVWR...every mfg needs to aspire to that ratio!! I also like the full shower enclosure, the big pantry and the seating options. I wish the freshwater capacity was closer to 60 gallons, like a lot of similar models from other mfgs. I HATE the control panel in the bathroom (next to the toilet of all places)...why do mfgs think that people want to have to go into the bathroom to check the tanks or operate the RV systems????

This is a classy looking RV! I think youre probably right about the curtain, although the open look is nice! Love what they did with the breakfast bar, bed storage, and color scheme. I like the telescopic ladder idea. Nice awning and mini camp kitchen too. The bathroom...🤔 Not a fan of Surveyor putting the control panels on the sink front. Otherwise it's a little tight, but the large pantry is nice right by the fridge. I get the give and take there. TP holder is definitely in an odd spot, but like you said, a no-win situation there. Love almost everything about this!! The color palette is stunning and looks very current and residential. I wish the space under the sink didn't have a built-in shelf. There isn't any obvious place left for trash can.i am obsessed with the storage w/shelves and drink holder at head of the bed. I would love to see this exact camper with Murphy Bed option. Don't likes: the TV cords hanging between the TV and the plug ruined the pristine look, and the bathroom is waaay to small with an elbow killer toilet space and really no good place for the toilet paper.

We have the 2022 version of this camper. - Ours has the installed ladder on the back. I haven’t installed a carrier on our ladder, but like that I have that option. - I like the look of the detachable ladder … but now you have to store that ladder somewhere. - We have a huge fold down rack on the rear bumper where we can put a generator for boondocking. The 2024 doesn’t. This is a huge step backward in my opinion. - We don’t have the lagoon table, but I like the look of it. Although it looks like it would probably be in the way a lot. - Ours has a larger under bed storage area without the drawers. I think I’d rather have the drawers and a bit smaller open storage. - The 2024 has greater solar capacity. - There are upper shelves in the cubbies behind the wardrobes in the ‘24. Those are nice. On balance, the ‘24 is a slight upgrade from our ‘22. The unit tows well. If I have a complaint, it would be that I think the A/C in our unit may be a little TOO powerful - and we live in the hot/humid south. With temps in the upper 90’s, our unit will kick on every 10-12 minutes and then run (quite loudly!) for about 5 minutes. I can’t help but think that a less powerful A/C might run longer, more quietly, less frequently, and still pull more moisture out of the air (because it ran longer).🤷🏻‍♂️

Quick note: I don’t recommend using the ladder as a cargo option. I know carries of various types exist for them. Ladders on RVs are not designed for that type of use

No great place for the TP holder, but they certainly found a spot that will irritate everyone :/ Pretty solid setup I think - nothing that really jumps out as "How did they miss this?" I do wonder though - you always add the caveat that things are not tested in road mode. How hard can it really be to run the calculations for the slide in both configurations? I cannot imagine that the testing is *actually* done with physical weight testing at this point. A few hours of work for another selling point on every floorplan that uses the same structure seems pretty trivial.

I love my Grand Design, however if I was in the market today, I would be taking a serious look at these Surveyor Legend models. Maybe not this model because we love the separate bedroom but they sure pack a lot of great features into a small package. One thing I'd change is they need to find a way to hide the cords to the TV. They look unsightly hanging across the wall like that.

Isn't that actually kinda heavy for a 25' laminated trailer? We have a Transcend that's 30'8" and is only 7,600lbs max weight. Shouldn't stick and tin be significantly heavier than laminated? I'm sure I missed something that explained it.

Comparing GVWR on a trailer like this with a HUGE ccc vs one with a more modest CCC isn't quite a level comparison. The empty weight of this is pretty reasonable for something not comprised purely of cutthroat build methods

Love the openness of this floorplan. I hate how the TV is like an afterthought. A lot of others put in a shallow box to frame the TV and make it look more intentional. I also cannot stand the 50 shades of monochrome they got going for the decor. The only contrast is the theater seats and chairs, and that brown is not exactly pretty. If the bedroom was behind a wall maybe you need the light colors to open it up but it's already opened up. And finally.... Put a gosh dang cabinet door on the bathroom storage! That's a trend I really wish would go away. But as always, great video !! 👍
