SHOCKWAVE!!! 36,000 HORSEPOWER JET TRUCK V PLANE (4k)

Shockwave is the first of the shockwave trucks. it currently holds the world record for jet powered trucks at 376mph. The truck is powered by three Westinghouse J34-48 jet units that produce a combined 36,000 horsepower. It is able to complete the quarter mile in 6.63 seconds.

We lost Shockwave and its legendary driver today at Battle Creek. Chris Darnell was by all means an amazing showman who even with a machine that would make it hard to be humble, was one chilled-out nice guy. The Airshow world will never forget his showman spirit and the machine he handled so well.
