Great tutorial! I was wondering if the creator or anyone else has a way to create a realistic rounded end cap instead of the plastic tip. I’ve tried using different effects to simulate it and can’t quite get it right. Any direction would be appreciated. Thanks again!

Perfect tutorial, thanks a lot! Took me about half hr to get my "shoelace xmass message" done. I saw the tutorial yesterday, thought it will take hours to learn and tried to create the message with the camera & real shoelaces :D :D :D spend hours with the f**ing laces trying to give them the right shape and it looked terrible compared to this mastered technique. Plus u use & explain quite a lot of "must have" tools like blend. I'm sure I will have to check some of your other tutorials, great work, keep on going.

I had the same problem and then I realized that he says click the objects and the empty space above it if you watch what he does he doesn't just select the objects he selects like the white space above it too and then you do that in it doesn't give you that I smashed my head for hours with that

this video is great! I only have one question, how do I change the color of the created brush? in this case it is black but if I want to leave red it can be changed or does it have to have the color from the beginning?

I think you need to colour it when making it. But once you have the brush shapes it shouldn't be too hard to change the colour.

I got all the way to the step where you place the lace end in the create pattern and its not allowing me to use the fourth box that you saying to place the pattern in...its only allowing me to use the last one to the left and the last two box for the end and the beginning of the path .....what am i doing wron g
