If you put some strategically placed flathead screws in your ceiling, you could use magnets to hold up your temporary spray booth.
@gatekeeper654 жыл бұрын
What an awesome idea. Thanks.
@itssewxtra17134 жыл бұрын
Do they need to be super strong magnets? That is an excellent idea since I live in a condo now and don’t have a garage, my projects are being done in my living room. Any suggestions as far as dust? Especially for using a sander. Im looking at the Festiool set up but would love a solution that is less than $1,000.
@MapBot114 жыл бұрын
@@itssewxtra1713 The magnets need to be strong enough to hold up the plastic sheeting and withstand any incidental contact or snags, otherwise your booth will get pulled down. As for dust solutions, if your projects are relatively small, I would recommend building a downdraft table hooked up to a cyclone dust separator and a shop vac. If you have larger projects, a box fan and a furnace filter can help to cut down on airborne dust, but will not eliminate it. A combination of the plastic sheeting and a box fan air cleaner might be reasonably effective.

Beautiful, minimalistic, and effective. Hits all the points. I also love the way the top turned out with all the knots. A little extra work and the dreaded epoxy fill but resulted in something that has a nice rustic look on a clean/modern cabinet base. I also love how you do your cabinet faces. I’m so sick and tired of seeing super ornate scalloped designs that just wind up being a nightmare to clean, paint, sand, refinish, and just look dated. Keep it up man, loving the videos!

Done right, you can have an instant kill-room for future rainy days that just sits on the ceiling between kills. Also, my only concern with this build is wet shoes stored in an enclosed space might not go so well. Still pretty though.

They aren't too bad for seldom use or light duty and I dont have to BUY YET ANOTHER SUITE OF BATTERIES!!! While I am on that did you Americans know you are being hosed??? Other countries demand universal battery compliance for import so your ryobi battery fits your dewalt and your dewalt fits your Milwaukee and your Milwaukee fits your Hitachi. Yeah... I know. @@GregNickoloff this hurts. I' bought my home last year and i thought i'd save money doing my own. I was an idiot... after all the money in tools and shit... and buying the materials... AND learning how to do it properly. That was the worst reason ever! This is just like you said ''three times as much money and quadruple time making it'' (well enough time to piss off everybody in the house about ''your project'') At least i enjoy doing it, so it is becoming a hobby.

@@1Akanan1 honestly if you are buying quality furniture and stuff making it does cost less. Most furniture looks nice but is made from sub par materials a d does not last long. Plus the satisfaction with building something is great.

Oh and learning how to use reclaimed wood from projects is fun.

"Dexter-style"... I nearly fell off of my chair when I heard that reference. Oh, and no, you're not the only one who uses his mouth as extra storage sometimes. BTW, what's wrong with Ryobi? I love my Ryobi tools.

Very good instructions and I feel like I might be able to start small and build something. After I get over my fear of a table saw. Baby steps for me.

This is exactly what we need for under our windows in our sunroom! This is pERFECT! We will not have electric outlet but on the very ends because the sunroom is not completely finished yet, need to finish painting the exterior then finish all of the interior! This will hopefully be finished this year, PLANDEMIC and Wood prices kept us from getting it finished last year or 2020! 😩 so hoping this year, all will be fi sued in there! Great job!

This was great! Please ignore that one person who is going to “inevitably” Complain that your way is not right and go on their negative Troll rant... may even be upset that you didn’t “initially plug in” your air hose from the get go. I mean what kind of “novice” are you? 😉 I am personally upset that you didn’t find any use the “expensive measuring blocks” you dropped last time.” 😉 Great job man! Inspired to build something using all these skills. 👍🏽

@@jetah50 I was purposely trying to make all that wrong. Sorry my bad attempt at sarcas-medy. I guess I should leave that to the pros... “JH” 😆
