Finally got a pair! Paid $800 for the 2016 version, deadstock. That might seem like a lot of money but I think I got a great deal after looking at the prices on StockX and GOAT. Prices continue to keep going up too. I'm just glad I got my grails and you can bet I will be wearing the heck out of them. Cheers!

So in 1985 I was out shopping for shoes for the kids in Tempe Arizona. They were 5 and 2 and always needing shoes. So while their mom and the kids were doing their thing I just happened to see some black and red shoes tied together with their laces and sitting on a display stand. I started checking them out and the salesman told me that those are defective and getting returned to the factory. They didn't have the original box or tag. The defect I found was on the left shoe where the Air Jordan logo was on the inside instead of the outside. I thought that was kinda cool and asked the guy what he wanted for them. After some dickering I paid $40. I wore them gently for about 5 miles then decided to store them. I just took them out this week. So I have in my possession a pair of 1985 Nike Air Jordan High Black/Red in size 9 with a manufacturing 'defect' with the logo printed on the wrong side. Other than that they are in excellent condition except for the material at the top of the shoe where it's known to crumble and peel with time. I've found a few other models of Nike Airs with some defects but this is the only one I could find where the iconic 1s from 1985 has a defect. That makes it a very rare one-of-a-kind!

I got a pair of Air Jordan 1.5 bred. Aka The Return. It's an Air Jordan 1 upper with a jordan 2 out sole. Jordan actually played in that shoe as well. Nike made it for him after he complained that the Jordan 2 upper was rubbing his heel the wrong way. So they made him the Returns/1.5's.
