This ending to me is truly beautiful and deep. Despite all your efforts, all your sacrifices, all your achievements, your legacy is all that remains in the scope of time. Everything crumbles and fades with time, no matter how great the deed or large the empire. But sometimes, sometimes your deeds set the foundation for something greater than you could ever imagine to happen in the future. Our world is immeasurably ancient, an estimated 103 Billion people have come and gone during the whole of human history. Our lives are but drops in an ocean, and yet, there is still the chance to make a lasting legacy on this world through sheer will alone. That to me is a truly spectacular message.

You only forgot that the history is being told for decades to those who are curious how the past was. Worst of all is the plague was everywhere and the medicines were very rare that cure the diseases like smallpox and tb. Expert herbalists are known to cure them, but they waste years of inspecting, observing and testing which others don't. That's why they're expensive which in modern days the medicine is. Herbalists are better nowadays than back then. At least in Europe. I know some got cured from cancers in brain and heart that doctors cannot.

@sherbanan Makes sense, all ur doing is changing the Shogunate from Tokugawa to said Clan name, since all the clans shared a similar moral code, only their war focuses were really different. Perry wouldve come by and said "Hi" no matter which clan wouldve won, and they all wouldve concluded that they didnt want to end up like China after the Opium wars.

I found the Shimazu to be really easy compared to say the Takeda, because you can take over your island pretty easily move in on the Chosokabe, ally with the Yamana, kill the Mori, kill the Yamana then the ikko or takeda - then you are shogun

The Shimazu strengths are great: the katana samurai is the most versatile single unit in the battlefield given its sole vulnerabilities are to archers and cavalry. Your ashigaru can handle the cavalry. You can get around the archers by having katana samurai charge into archers in loose formation and then close ranks when they're right in front, the devastation that follows is glorious.

Shouldn't be the Takeda to have a statue with a horse in it?
@Zilap99 жыл бұрын
Its not that takeda have copyright on horses.
@Rokolith9 жыл бұрын
+Luiz Alex Phoenix In general, nobles from all cultures, especially those who facied themselves warriors liked to be depicted on horses. Horses were expensive to maintain, so only the affluent could afford them, especially to breed and raise the kind you would take into battle. In other words, being on a horse was seen as a status symbol.
@Zilap99 жыл бұрын
+Rokolith a horse would not at all be a big deal to someone who was known for fielding massive armies. I would consider the armor to be a bigger status symbol than the horse.
@LuizAlexPhoenix9 жыл бұрын
Yeah but the most intriguing is that the Takeda, who I know as the most famous cavalry from the Sengoku era, aren't the ones that get a horse on their ending. But I guess Rokolith answer makes sense. I am just unused to horses and the high upkeep they have.
@Zilap99 жыл бұрын
+Luiz Alex Phoenix takeda shingen (the daimyo that gets the statue) was nearly never depicted on horse tho he was more of a strategist and accountant then a warrior himself. He sat back with his tessen. The one who gets a statue of the shimazu was shimazu yoshihiro which did ride a horse.
