Thanks for the review. I remember watching when I was a teen, I watched everything back then. but didn’t remember the story. Now the Thornbirds (also Richard Chamberlin) which came out about two years later was fire. You need to see it. That should be remade. I was on the fence about revisiting Shogun, but I think i’ll give it a shot.

Im almost positive you're pronouncing Shogun wrong. I think gun is pronounced like james gunn handGUN ect...

It's not pronounced as "gun" like the weapon but it's more closer to "goon" but not entirely. Better to just search YT for Shogun pronunciation as putting a URL in the reply is sometimes automatically deleted.

I really like the show, but Japan was an island seafarer race before contact with Europeans. Why in the show do they need to be taught how to swim and pilot their own ships? 🤔
