Dodgers really, really, need to make an adjustment to the line up. Betts has been the team's best hitter with runners in scoring position. He's slashing .391/.494/.563/1.056 Put Ohtani 1, Freeman 2, and Betts 3rd.

As much as we all drooled over the offseason, they brought back a lot of the same parts that have been what we thought they were. Didn’t like bringing back Heyward or Hernandez, just thought we needed better lower tier bats that can hit to contact, and look how it’s unfolding.

Ohtani's injury had affected his batting form and ability for a few days. Ohtani hadn't had 3K in this season except this game due to this hamstring injury. Ohtani might need a day off.

@@AYA-sj3mqAccording to Robert, the manager, he isn't going to give any rest to Ohtani bc he said that Ohtani was 90% recovered(though obviously after the triple, Ohtani obviously was not running like a healthy Ohtani). And apparently the injury seriously affected Ohtani's batting form and hitting power(bc hitter can't transfer his power to his bat while there's an injury at hamstring). Ohtani's batting avg dropped dramatically fr. 350 to. 211 since then in a wk. However, the bright side is that at the 1st AB even Ohtani was out but he seemed running better and at 4th AB Ohtani's hitting velocity was like more Ohtani before injury(Ohtani was practicing hitting hard in the cage during an hour rain delay right before 4thAB). It's a very strong hit fr Ohtani and Freeman's double coped with more regular running speed Ohtani ➡️an important run which at least not an embarrassing zero score while already swept by the Reds. Well, hopefully tomorrow Ohtani will be almost back to the normal healthy Ohtani.

If the Dodgers had been in any other divisions for the exception of the NL central, we wouldn't have even been in first.. the only reason we in first is because the NL West is the worst division in MLB... we have one of the worst bottom of the lineup baseball.. after the number 4 hitter ... we are horrible

Besides the hamstring bruise, he was hit hard on the head by Reds’ touch at third base. This makes him the second victim of the same team. Reds’ defense is so poor for a professional.

No, Reds defense thought they did great jobs because they succeeded in hurting Ohtani purposely but no complaint can be found. Since the injury caused by Reds pick-up throw, Ohtani's hitting form was affected as Ohtani's power couldn't be sent to his bat due hamstring injury and running speed needed to be slowed and certainly no stealing base could occur, Ohtani's batting avg dropped to .211after the injury a week ago. Ohtani's batting hits was 7 out of 34AB, a far lower hitting avg of Ohtani when he was healthy during this season.

Roberts is just to loyal to several over the hill guys-Kike-CT-Heyward-Barnes etc. Expecting what they did 3,4 years ago. Not gonna happen. Even Heyward who was good last year, was terrible for several years previously. Maybe he'll surprise us, but once you get into June you are what you are.
