Shohin Bonsai Exhibition, Kyoto 2025 (4)

My favourites are Japanese pine trees that look as if they could be full-size trees far away, on the horizon. If the trunks are exaggeratedly thick or twisted (as many are in this exhibition), the tree is less attractive. But other people like those features, so it comes down to individuals' preferences.
