Shon - Richard was NEVER a part of Speedwagon - and has always been a solo artist. One of the very best of the 80's - with MANY hit songs. He is also an incredible songwriter for other artists. His ballads (Right Here Waiting, Hazzard, Endless Summer Nights) are amazing. BUT he also has some fantastic uptempo - rockier songs. Please, please check out Don't Mean Nothing, Too Late To Say Goodbye, Loney Heart, and Should've Known Better. Enjoy the journey my friend! :)

I’m not sure where you got the information that Richard Marx was part of REO Speedwagon but he definitely was not. He initially was an opening act for the group but he has always been a solo artist.

Marx wrote music for a lot of other artists. He wrote this for Barbra Streisand, but she sent it back, saying it was a great song, but she wasn't waiting for anyone, so he recorded it himself.
