Shonen Knife feature with Nirvana 1992

Shonen Knife put out albums in 91, 92, & 93. But after Kurt died in 94, Shonen Knife didn't put out a record until 96. It includes the song Keep on Rockin'--which I don't see how it can be about anything else than a tribute to Kurt, given the lyrics... "Felt dreamy inspiration when I saw you yesterday" ... "You gave me an emotion almost lost my way" ... "I felt fascination when I sang your song today" ... "Got your invitation everything's going okay" ... "Keep on rockin'"

I know them from a photo from the Nirvana's Tokyo tour and it just both of the bands together and cheering and smiling and such and I tried to find them and I'm here. Imagine being the 80's meathead who was a diehard for any big concerts and went to shows where every band on the bill was a main attraction, then you give Nirvana a try in 1992, and you arrive for the opening band, and it's Shonen Knife. Of course, these were the dudes showing up to Nirvana gigs, and acting like morons, and ruining the level of fame that Kurt just took on. At the same time, Kurt giving indie acts the stage was his way of flipping a finger to the rock stars who were begging him on the phone to tour together.
