I think it’s fine I don’t have problem with it. Sometimes it’s hard to follow but not to bad for me. I think the choso stuff is being setup down the road for a scarfice for itadori it wouldn’t have an much emotional impact if it happened that chapter also with itadori not being their. I think chainsaw man being every other week definitely helps. It’s harder to fit everything in a weekly basis.

I think there's one major difference between jjk and csm which gives them strengths and weaknesses. One story is character driven (Chainsaw man) whereas the other is plot driven (jujutsu kaisen). This means in jjk you'll need to understand more and keep up with more that's going on, whereas in csm all you need to understand is the characters themselves. There isn't right or wrong but just preferences in how each story handles themselves. Both are goats at the end of the day as each one does their type of story very well.
@kamuyking551
@kamuyking551 Жыл бұрын
my own critique of JJk vs. CSM is that JJK seems like it leaves more on the cutting room floor, while CSM just feels like it's moving quickly through it's material. biggest example is the protagonists... Yuji is presented to us as a pretty outgoing guy who lives with his grandpa, then his grandpa dies, and he has nobody aside from the sorcerers who basically abduct him without any resistance from anyone. and like... the series glosses over it, but _why_ doesn't anyone care? Yuji is shown to make fast friends with literally everyone he meets. it's a core character trait, and it's why the whole Junpei storyline worked the way it did. it feels like a gap where you're left wondering. CSM is different because the entire point of the introduction to the story is to establish Denji as a kid who has no one. mom is dead, dad is dead, he's in debt, which leaves him too busy to socialize properly, and divorced from the context of most kids his age... the way poverty isolates a person is the whole point. and when Denji is taken in by public service, you understand that Denji clings because, at this point, he has nothing else. it's so simple... it doesn't even take much time to set up, and it deepens your sympathy for Denji right away. but then I think that theme of poverty is utilized incredibly well in the rest of the story too, by introducing the complex interplay of the human monetary economy, and the devil fear based economy. right from the beginning, Denji starts as a helpless child with an impossible amount of debt... but even he has the ability to make a contract, or defeat devils, because some devils are lower in their own hierarchy, same as humans. in the same way that a human can be born to rich parents, given many opportunities, and use wealth to attain power in the world as they grow up... devils are also granted power by the conditions of their birth, and if you think about it, a devil that is powerful enough to terrorize people on their own actually has a way of artificially inflating its own strength. how many more people do you think became afraid of bats after nearly being caught up in the bat devil brawl? how many more would be terrified of bats if the bat devil had succeeded in eating the people he'd intended to? it's interesting to think about humans and their monetary economy, vs. devils and their fear-based economy, in terms of the type of power the winners get to have over the losers. and if you're born in the role of a loser, how much mobility do you have? it's interesting to think about what you have to do, in order to move up the ladder in each system. devils seem very obviously predatory toward humans, but it's interesting to note that weak humans can still kill weaker devils for monetary gain. it's interesting to think about how public service devil hunters have an almost paradoxical role to play in all of this... Kobeni exemplifies it best with her reaction to the eternity devil. this is a job that routinely sends people into battle against the stronger devils, and traumatizes them more and more over time. how might their fear and trauma actually play right into the needs of the more powerful devils that they fight? conversely, it's interesting to think about which devils are capable of collaborating with humans, without shooting themselves in the foot. snakes, ghosts, the future... people will be fearful of those things no matter what. a person's fear wouldn't be lessened by learning that those devils are benign. but thinking of fear as an economic force is also what combats power creep. Denji could grow to be the most technically strong person in the whole cast one day, sure... but he'd still be economically crushed under the weight of living as a human being. there are other forms of disempowerment acting against him, and because of the life he's led so far, his main goal is just to become basically financially secure. Denji grew up surrounded by the mundane fears of potentially dying, going unhoused, unfed, not having access to medical care, etc. and his standards for how he should be treated are monumentally low. in the realm of humans, he's poor as shit, which comes with all sorts of dehumanizing drawbacks, like having zero social leverage, being looked down on, and ending up living in isolation. but in the fear economy, his resilience means that he's doing pretty well for himself. there isn't much that intimidates him, and he's managed to menace a fair few strong devils by this point. yet his utility as a competent devil hunter only leads to the result of being used, because as a human, he's got no other value outside of that skill. and even when you consider the things that devils ask for in their contracts... body parts, or years off the person's life... the value of these things is derived from how much they might damage your quality of life to go without them. to lose an eye, an arm, a year you could've spent living with your loved ones... honestly, it sounds a lot like the things Denji sold in order to try and decrease his debt in the beginning of the story. this whole narrative is set up to ponder the value of a life, and how you can live it in a world that is always trying to take a bite out of you. how do you keep your head above water in a world that would readily strip you of everything, until there's nothing left? what makes a life like that valuable anyway? I just think that these questions flow a lot more cleanly in CSM, and keep coming up in new and interesting ways throughout the story.

@crystalblade13 yeah, it took me a moment to realize it too, but when the ghost devil started chipping away at Himeno, I kind of realized how that stacked up compared to Denji's condition in the beginning. or like... when you realize that Denji was able to kill the tomato devil because they were both poor in the resource that matters to them... it's just really interesting. in general, it feels like humans and devils have more direct influence on each other. it feels more personal... it's really cool!

This is an amazing analysis of how the world in CSM works. Very well done Never really thought that some devils are also in poverty in their own hierarchy if there's less fear for them
@kamuyking551
@kamuyking551 Жыл бұрын
@@badpiggy4177 yeah, it's actually kind of a cycle, because a devil can increase fear for a thing by terrorizing humans, to a certain extent... they actually have a very clear reason for why they won't just leave people alone. but then when you think about who would be first called upon to do the unenviable job of hunting devils, it would be people who are desperate for pay. and, likewise, when Denji was a child, I bet the only devils he was capable of killing on his own were ones like the tomato devil, who weren't very strong. fear-poor devils are in more danger of being hunted by humans, same as how cash-poor humans are more likely to consider fighting devils to make a living. and it's only when you get beaureaucratic organizers involved that there's enough pay on the table for skilled fighters to threaten the more powerful devils... but likewise, it's the more powerful devils that agencies like Makima's would go after, because of how much terror they routinely cause. it's a really cool way to create commentary about poverty, because even in real life, poverty just gives you way more things to worry about or be afraid of, which people who are financially secure probably don't even have to think about, and people who are rich are completely insulated from ever thinking about. would a person who owns a yacht ever consider the terror of choosing between food and rent? maybe if there was a devil for that... I bet the rent payment devil would be killer, yaknow?
@kamuyking551

@crystalblade13 I think instinctively, I thought it might've had something to do with Himeno's contract? like, when Himeno has the ghost devil fight for her, it takes her body one chunk at a time. in a simplified sense it could be seen as "I'll punch him once if you give me your arm. I'll punch him again if you give me the other one." that sort of thing. obviously it wasn't those exact rules, nor were the rules for any of it made explicit... I think it was purposeful that there was no dialogue or flashback to explain how Himeno's contract worked, and interestingly, when Akane had the ghost devil fight Aki, we didn't see it taking nearly the same toll on her body as it did on Himeno's. so part of me wonders if Himeno gave the ghost devil an in-the-moment instruction... like an ultimatum. something that would bind it, even after her death, if she agreed to give the ghost devil her life. something akin to "no matter what, you cannot kill Aki." the cigarette could've been a final message that Himeno also requested to be passed along, and the ghost devil just hasn't seen Aki since the last fight it was involved in. up until this point, we haven't seen a devil take someone's whole self, body and soul, as payment for something. and other devils will fight as hard as the ghost devil did for more manageable payment... like the snake devil taking fingernails or the fox devil taking skin. so if "never kill Aki" was the directive, maybe that drastic of a payment was enough to let the order supersede other orders given in the context of future contracts. and that wouldn't mean that the ghost devil couldn't fight Aki to the point of near death, thereby fulfilling its new contract to the best of its abilities. Himeno's final request might've just taken precedence. so like... that's my best guess. I'm still not sure what "easy revenge" means as a final message, but to me it feels like it's from Himeno, rather than being something the ghost devil elected to share. though I could be wrong, who knows? (EDIT: actually, in a very literal sense, "easy revenge" could refer to the idea that the ghost devil was technically what took Himeno's life. so if Aki wanted to kill the ghost devil for doing that, it'd be "easy revenge" because she ensured that the ghost devil _cannot_ kill Aki, and Aki knows how the ghost devil's sight works. and Aki is able to calmly kill it from that point forward, because he knows he has nothing to be afraid of. it could be Himeno not only dying, but offering Aki closure, which she knows is important to him. but that's only if all my other assumptions are correct, and might be a bit of a stretch.)

Pacing is very important for a story especially if a story needs a built up jujutsu Kaisen Pacing is very different because a lot of the dialogue explains how the power of the characters are used and what the power does, chainsaw man being chaotic as it is Pacing is much better because it keeps it simple and every chapter connects with the other chapters perfectly and the dialogue very straightforward to make the reader want to know what happens next in the story.

Even if it was 12 episodes, it is golden and was well written, the English dub, bgm ost and the character development and screen time for each individual character and side characters was so good. Still so many complaint it's not manga/comic accurate by saying expression was cutten or meme expression was cut down, or complaining csm was very much realistic, and I don't think there is any problem, anime doesn't need to be comic accurate in visual expression but the story telling and character development and it's interaction is the main sweet of chainsaw man anime and i truly satisfied by it, Hope they finish reze arc chainsaw man movie and soon season 2 with completion of part 1 of chainsaw man.

While it is a bit fair that chainsaw man seems to have slowed down in part 2, I feel like it's because it's now a completely different story. Part 1 felt very centered around denji and his journey, but for the most part that's wrapped up, but still a bit open. As such I feel that fujimoto is now expanding the range and is looking through a wider and more complex lenses while still retaining what we love. The other part is that fujimoto's writing is now like a masterfully written horror film. You slowly add details and tension and when there is the eventual release it hits HARD

As someone who read JJK and CSM mangas I think I agree with your thoughts. Both are my most favorites in their generation so I have an extra attention while reading it, and I found out that what the difference between them are CSM is more organized very well in writing their story to deliver first before the battle. JJK is mostly focused on the battle scenes first because we've seen many times during the the battle they just added the explanation or information text on their panels, it still good but if they wrap the story more organized on delivering story it would be much much better because JJK has more interesting concept.

TLDR; CSM has better setups, conflicts are short and sweet and poses questions that leave the person to decipher and infer. JJK has more detail and more chapters drawn out for longer fights to fully show a character's prowess against that opponent, has less setup and overall less moments without conflict (partially at least because Gege Akutami wants to finish JJK by the end of the year) and explains a lot more of how things and why they happened shortly after or in the next chapter. Note to take in, I have read both consistently each week and I prefer JJK in general yet that doesn't make me devalue CSM. Agree with the pacing, Tatsuki Fujimoto has better setup followed by execution then next chapter it is continuation and end. That is what it makes so easy to be caught up, there is a cliff hanger or something of interest always there for next chapter. And while Gege Akutami does not have as much of a setup or it's relevancy to the rest of the chapter, which I do not deny at points, he did say he wants to finish up JJK by 2024, which I am not saying he is rushing fights but considering he writes fights for quite a few chapters like around 4, which adds up to nearly a month, he doesn't have that much time if he wants to be over with it by the end of the year. While I am a fan of both, I'll say that both of them keep my interest consistently but in their own way, especially with in my opinion JJK peaking right now. I rush to check for spoilers for latest chapter on a Tuesday here whilst then following up with reading a chapter of chainsaw man (unless they are on break of course). I'd say that the story is in better detail and at a slower pace for the fights in JJK (not saying the fights are slow but that they are close and up in detail) whilst CSM is just great setup so that they can breeze through the chaotic story, finishing conflicts within 4 chapters and then spending like 6 or so having some non fight conflict or just chill yet interesting chapters. But yes JJK is also breezing through the story whilst just having more chapters be dedicated to less non conflict and/or setup chapters and more just straight up fights, whilst the chapters actually in between fights aren't that long, the moments are of course interesting in relevant before quickly getting back to fighting. In my opinion, Gege did setup better before than in the current moment of JJK and if he didn't have his own time limit for finishing JJK he could have proper full chapters dedicated to chill yet interesting movements along with setup chapters. Interestingly enough, chainsaw man leaves many questions for the conflict chapters whilst JJK is pure hype at it's core for fights and whilst the conflict does pose questions, they are often answered rather than left to the reader to think and decipher it and infer what is going on with some things.

I think given the complexity of JJK’s power system and Gege’s focus on the technical side of jujutsu, the flow of each chapter wavers. In CSM, (to some extent) fights are just fights and there isn’t rlly much Fujimoto explains in context.
@tamato5745
@tamato5745 Жыл бұрын
When it comes to power systems, I would agree. Gege has a very interesting and complex power system where he wants the audience to understand how things are working in the fight because it's fascinating watching these people use jujutsu techniques. It also builds on the setting everything takes place in as a result while also building intrigue on how someone could use their abilities to overcome adversity outside of just the fight they're in. However, Fujimoto seems to have favoured a much more simpler power system. Where long explanations aren't necessary to understand what is going on. This leaves room for more character building, or set ups, or plot hooks, etc. Neither of these systems are bad nor a wrong way to write a story. Each has their own target audience and it's up to your tastes on which one you favour.

As someone who is up to date with each CSM chapter but can't move forward after one episode of JJK I get your reasoning. I saw others shaming CSM fans saying they are simpletons and can't handle detailed plots, but I assure that I have interest in detailed plots and world building but it must not feel like a chore or studying for homework 😂😂. JJK has the plot of every Shounen ever with slight tweaks of characters to make them good but that's it nothing pulls me towards it. It does not give an experience of it's own. But CSM is very different in storytelling even though it uses some cliche setups. The story flows on its own and the characters interactions feel natural but tension packed that you want to see what's going to happen next. In conclusion, JJK has solid content and can pull an average Shounen fan, but CSM is enjoyable to both a casual reader and for someone who wants to analyze and enjoy it as an art.

Yeah, reading jjk week to week can get a bit daunting. I'm that Yuta fight you mentioned the climax for that was the 3-way domain expansion. However, when nothing came of it that entire battle lost all its hype for me. Another aspect of CSM's pacing is probably the content. I don't know about other people, but Fujimoto's chapters feel like they don't ever pack enough meat in them. I regularly find myself feeling like there should've been at least 5 more pages worth of content or like I missed some pages somehow. Not that it wasn't a good chapter, but that there should have been more. It's the hunger and curiosity that also keeps me coming back.

You are playing with fire with this one my friend 😅. But if anyone knows good structure it’s you. The argument made here is pretty sound. Though I would also say JJK has a lot more moving parts than CSM and that makes it harder for some people to follow. But going back to the issue of structure. I feel this is issue of setup to resolution becomes a bigger problem for monthly series. Since entire month is needed for a chapter’s release, the feeling of “nothing happening” is stronger if things aren’t structured well. Especially if each chapter is continuing a fight. If you ever decide to make a video on a monthly series, might be worth revisiting what you established here. Maybe discuss how weekly v monthly are & should be structured.

deaths in JJK was for me more painful when i saw himeno death or other character don't makes me feel bad. They just die like someone that i nearly know. (Ofc aki death was painful because he gets more screen time). When we see Nobara that is probably dead, gojo who is sealed, nanami and every Itadori's mentor, friends just die on his eyes. These two series are really good and I'm gonna still reading because they are just great. I like concept of devils and curses. I like in both characters (even more in csm but only a few really brings my attention). The power system is good but less complicated in csm. That's just my opinion but i can really choose which one is better Have a great day

Watching JJK Season 2, I can say that the anime definitely makes up for whatever weaknesses the JJK manga has. I can't really remember anything from Gojo Gaiden outside outside of the Touji fight and a few key moments. The anime helps fill in a lot of gaps. Like how the current first year's relationship is very close to Gojo's class's relationship, and why Gojo purposefully seeks out and nurtures unconventional sorcerers (Yuji, Maki, Panda, Hakari, Okkotsu). I can't fully blame Gege because the initial parts of his story were perfectly paced and built up to the big battle. I can't help but think this is burnout and editor pressure.

Main reason why jjk is more successful is because it is gege first series but csm is fujimoto's second big series. Most fuji fans know his writing from firepunch and are ready for everything. But jjk is a whole new experience. This is why csm feels dull and jjk feels hyped.

I think a big reason I prefer chainsaw man over jjk is that while the characters in both series feel kind of cold and distant and not really heroic or emotionally vulnerable, I have a much greater understanding of why that is in Chainsaw man. The fact that Denji grew up on the street and devil hunters all die young makes me understand why they act the way they do. When Gojo is smug and arrogant and doesn't take things seriously, or Yuji snaps after seeing someone die, I don't really feel what they're feeling because I am never shown why they are like that. The best example of this I think comes with the rival, Megumi and Aki. In my opinion, Aki is a much better version of Megumi, a stoic guy who hides his feelings and fights for his lost family. It's hard to explain but I just feel it more from Aki. You get a much better sense of his hopelessness and desperation, all within the first 10 episodes of chainsaw. I didn't even start to care about Megumi until episode 23

Dnejis character is very unique but character development is where I started losing interest in denji lol , till now I've watched a lot of animes but never seen a character like denji and I liked that but the moment he started having all the sad backstory bs and his friends dying as the plot progress nah man it's just the same old shounen again .. Where as in JJK Yuji is so much like shounenes MCs but not very much as well character has nice depth a very wicked backstory the character development is small but effective which makes him unique.. That's just one of my problems with CSM rest it's a great my type of anime . No hate to CSM it's greater than jjk since gege is rushing the manga , but gotta hand it to jjk when it comes to character design and making

ima best honest, there isnt a single thing jjk does better than csm imo. No matter if Story, plottwists, characters, pacing, art and yeah even fights. I guess i dont have to explain why story and characters are better since that should be common sense, tho I often do hear people say that jjk fights are better which is a take i cant understand. im currently at the chapters after hakari vs kashimo and so far the author has spammed one fight after another and in a really bad way. He puts so many new characters that have no use for the story, creates abilities that take multiple pages to explain (and arent rly that cool/dont need to be that complicated) and the art isnt good enough for one of the most selling manga, like i cant even recognize whats happening most of the fights. The fights are also very generic with both sides spamming all their abilities and shouting out their attacks like that hasnt been done 20 years ago. CSM is the opposite, since every character has the devils abilties, like being a bomb, having chainsaw arm or throwing chains and nothing more. they have to use these limited abilities smart in order to win, like setting himself on fire to kill darkness buffed doll devil or throwing bomb girl into water. Another thing is that csm fights are extremely fast paced and have way less talking than jjk fights

I've tried getting into jjk many times but i simply can't bring myself to care about the cast. Juji I'd a Gary sue who can break world records in the first episode and learns how to use cursed energy through watching movies. I don't kind the gag of him watching movies yo get a better understanding of his emotions however to actually increase his abilities as much as that did made it silly for me. The villains are quite literally evil for evilsake, and at the start they aren't seen as much of a threat. Most of the fights are two guys jumping the villain or waiting for gojo to save them if not sukuna to do most of the heavy lifting. Itadoris grandpa was clearly important to him but after he dies that's that, nothing more about him and it rarely even gets mentioned.

Ur complaints r odd to me Yuji isnt a gary sue at all, he almost dies the first fight he’s in and atp in the series he realistically only has 1 clean W and that’s against the cockroach cursed spirit I feel like ur restricting urself with ur viewpoints on the villains. U can find a lot of nuance and themes outside of a typical “morally gray” antagonist, ur prioritizing the motivations too much. As well as the only villains r are just evil for the sake of it, r sukuna, mahito, and “geto” but still get fleshed outcij other ways.The two major antagonists “geto” and sukuna r built up throughout the series n u jus need to wait to see them fleshed out. Also the villains r VERY threatening n kill important characters all the time Ur the only person ive ever seen complain abt the 2 v 1s 😭 but outside that the gojo example exists in one fight , the sukuna example also exists in one fight. Even tho yuji’s grandpa isnt brought up much, his finalwords are the most important thing to yuji and his dilemma and it becomes more and more evident throughout the series Def try it again cuz it rlly seems like u we’re watching the series wrong n misinterpreting it heavily

I get the point, but a lot of people were saying the same thing about shibuya arc until they went back and reread the whole arc from start to finish and suddenly it became "one of the best current gen arcs." Imagine culling games when it gets fully animated: the longest fight which is hakari and kashimo (4 chapters) will probably only last around 2 episodes or less when you consider that most of it is trading hits and explaining his domain expansion. JJK is kinda hard to read weekly, but when its animated its a different story.

(Anime-only btw) JJK just doesn't feel like it's really about anything. At least any central thing in particular. Neither do the characters. And well I know JJK is popular and whatnot,, but I personally like when a story is actually about something.. You have Yuji who lost his grandpa and is as good with powers as he is at friend stuff, but not much else to him. Oh yeah he wants to die well cuz his gramps and well.. yeah. Again just goes back to gramps. But he's the protag so the shows about death and its meaning right? The preciousness of life? Well... Fugishiro was an emo middle schooler and has like a super complex monologue to give every time he wants to say something honestly simple about himself/worldview like what it means to be heroic or not etc plus hidden potential powers. Nobara is just hard at work loving herself when she's all pretty and dressed up and when she's being strong cuz she's motherf#cking Kugisaki Nobara y'all... Then u have Gojo who's da best and strongest with a totally fake child-personality (which honestly annoys me) to cover up a totally-subtle darker side to him... totally not gonna upset the power balance at some point by both killing some higher up and probs by dying himself cuz how else in a shonen. Basically ultimate dopest sensei and father figure to Yuji so yay. Todo is about high IQ hallucinations and whamen. (OH yeah Yujis about whamen too! SUPER META AND RELATEABLE CHARACTERS. ALL MEN UNITE FOR THESE TWO CUZ THEY GOT TASTE) Nanami is about disrespecting and being a Gojo foil cuz anybody who can do that is obvsly a chad and about commentary on the woes of middle age work life. Little annoying Witch girl and bigger annoying gun girl are about commentary on gender roles. (Oh right! Nobara and Maki are the counters to them who are obvsly on the righteous side of feminism! Such complexity to this show! Such balls for JJK to be able to say "I am a shonen that respeccs women!") Panda is Po with a tinge of Hulk and "I'm a real boy!" cuz why not include that. Patchwork face dude likes to do evil stuff and ramble about super deep philosophical shit which places the emphasis on a readers investment in the story on basically their attention-span for exposition. Oh yeah so does every single forced flashback to exist in this entire show. So... right! I guess the shows about death right? Because to talk about a good death means living a good life right? I guess the shows about life and stuff... I mean it is... But it's way of going about it basically amounts to just making a long list and checking boxes for various social and global issues relevant and irrelevant to the real world to just yell out "WE GOT IT!" It doesn't actually effectively draw any concrete overarching themes or say any single thing about it all. It tries to say just about everything possible and to me all the various voices of the characters just drown each other out. Parallel to what Gojo said, I'll make my own version, "by being shown everything, you aren't told anything" CSM is about poverty and the search for human connection. Everything in the story supports these two main themes. Denji wants sex and physical intimacy because he thinks that's what'll lead to true connection. He doesn't know cuz he was deprived of it thru poverty and insufficient love as a child. He loves Makima because she gives him both a life away from poverty and the physical affection he wants and thinks he needs. He forms deep familial connections with Power and Aki thru comraderie and fulfillment of each other's pitfalls in basic needs in love too. They form something pure aside from all the brokenness from everybody else in the story. Denji grapples with his emotions thru loss of those forms of love and subjects himself to poverty under Makima personally to the point of slavery. Even the Devils whole fear based hierarchal system gives them a social stricture of their own where many Devils are left struggling for love and hindered by their overwhelming status or lack thereof. The chainsaw devil was too strong to rlly recieve love until it sank to the pits of the human world with Denji. The Control devil may be following a similar route. Even the damn Bat Devil and Leech Devil were a couple, not strong enough to realize their dream, yet still united by it. The gun devil a weaponized force of nature for the sake of world war... Basically u get the point. CSM says something. Sure it doesn't have the sheer quantity of things to say that JJK does but the focus on the quality of a few monumental things make CSM's voice louder then anything JJK could ever say. Annnnnnddd... Yes. The pacing annoying af. No fight shall go uninterrupted without some usually-unwanted flashback or exposition dump. And that's not even covering the stuff you did cuz no point restating what you already did in the video.

Honestly interested in how you see this. Fujimoto's paneling is universally praised and for good reason. In my opinion, it's especially great in part 2 since sometimes he'll have 20 pages to work with and other times he'll get 30. Every chapter moves along, nicely though. I can only guess you're referring to the falling arc. I get why you feel that way, but that arc still flowed really well and had a very badass, fanfic ending lol.

Heres the problem with chainsaw man, we have absolutely no idea on what the ending will focus on. With JJK we at least know that something related to sukuna will happen eventually, however Chainsaw man as of now has no direction. I fear that Chainsaw man will turn into FirePunch, a Great start and "Middle" but near the end there's no more content to be done. With both chainsaw man and firpunch there was a idea or typical final boss a interesting mechanic and plot but were soon derailed in incoherent madness (Not the good kind). By trying to subvert the standered shonen trope of "Big bad we have to defeat" Fujimoto basically wrote himself into a corner or rather into open space where nothing is grounded to anything and with the story feeling finished.

I'm not a fan of part 2 so far. It's almost like reading a different manga than part 1. I thought maybe it was the pacing, and it still might be can't say till the ending. However, at this time, it seems like a sitcom. I thought the Primordial devils would be like in part 1, but I was mistaken just a way to further the shipping of the girl main character and denji idk her name tbh. Karen?😅
