In my humble opinion, I'm quite comfortable with the talent at hand to sustain "The Blues". I back my opinion with the fact that there are ALSO many women involved, too! Samantha, Anna & don't forget Demi Lovato. Who, U say? Google her & find out! The Blues/Rock scene will NEVER die. There's just too much genuine Love for this genre of music. It rips out Ur heart, shoves it up through Ur nostrils so U can smell it, then bleeds back out of every pore of Ur being - so U can taste it all over, again. The Blues....gotta Love it, 'cause it hurts SO good!

You need to check out Quinn Sullivan, a 22 year old white kid who first got on stage with Buddy Guy when he was 7 or 8. He's one of the two young guitarists that Buddy Guy so-called discovered with Kingfish being the other. What I found out when I met them was that they were very humble and polite. Quinn has a bit more varied repertoire while like Hendrix and Santana while Kingfish is more a blues purist. Both really do the blues justice however.

@@jeffkaluga997 * Iam not use to the 5 string Bass but that is what iam thinking of. What is the name of your vedio on KZbin?

I been playing 5 string, for ten years before I stopped ..it's hard to find a good 5 string, for less than say 1500..That low B is hard to get clear notes, on the Cheap. But I lucked out I get a new Music man for about $600 it's called a sterling model..I had high-end basses in the past, so I know a good 5 string when I play one..The amps are new too, don't buy the old school stuff, it's too heavy. My new amp head is 10 lbs..

The Kingfish has got goin' on! I love his aggressive attack and sudden furious outburst. Alex Ubillus nails his style. I pray this very large man can get a grasp on his weight, we lose to many too early. I'm speaking as a dude that was once 6' and 360 lbs, so don't hate on me, I just want him to have a long career.

I'm stunned with glossy eyes. It's the Freddy King Texas blues guitar sound and voice of BB. Hooks like SRV, intuition like Buddy. I'm stunned....

stop comparing this guy to old or dead men. keep up with current bands and musicians and stop worshipping dead rock stars.

The Kingfish is remarkably talented but I've heard it all before and thats the truth. He has more pounds per square inch than any previous bluesman at the same age.

wow... @Mark Preston... Plenty of great contemporary players today, true enough. Funny thing about those great contemporary players. They have a lot in common with "this guy." Think about it, Mark Preston; what is blues, but the epitome of roots music? The blues, IS roots. It is experienced THROUGH its roots, not in spite of its roots. When a blues man is held in the same high esteem as the iconic players of the past, it is a higher compliment than being compared to another contemporary. Especially because that contemporary has many of the same influences, heroes and examples in their own roots! To, as you put it, "stop comparing this guy to old or dead men..." is to rob him of his due, and to fail to understand the genre of blues altogether.

The guitar playing makes me want to escape somewhere just to groove, and the voice is just unbelievably awesome.
