Good video Scott. I have tried recently with sony zv-e1 and returned. not happy with color correction work flows. Lumix S5 IIX catches my attention and I see your channel which has lot of inspiring stuff. But I also heard/read very bad reviews of this camera considering the Moire issue that comes on and off. Can you please elaborate anything around this?

I believe you could plug the Rode mic into a DJI transmitter and mount them on an inexpensive boom pole for extra flexibility with mic placement. Just be sure to set the Rode to its lowest output settings and the gain the DJI input at it's lowest level to start. Might be worth experimenting.

I just record directly in camera so no syncing up to do

do you ask the person to look down the lens while talking or do you ask them to speak to you so they feel more at ease?

I get them to talk to me and ignore the camera as much as possible. Makes them feel more comfortable and also makes the footage look more authentic for docs I think
