I love Mickey, I enjoy him and I’ve learned from him, but sometimes I’m just not in the mood for one of his lectures and him trying to sound so philosophical.. I think he wants to be master Uwe off of kung fu panda Can we ever just cut to the chase on the technical side of what it is? You want us to know?

Not everything is or should be dumbed down. My pal Super Dave says, "Not everyone should have dangerous things." My bro teaches tower rescue, I teach some emergency medicine, should those things be dumbed down? In my opinion, no. If you can't dig a little deeper into some topics, that's a clue and looking within, may be the best thing.

@@CarryTrainer and that’s why I said,”sometimes “….. because we weren’t learning about tower training or any kind of medicine or how to disarm nuclear warhead….. sometimes excessive words don’t add to the subject and dumb us down.

Master grip clear the holster. Rotate the barrel toward the intended target. Bring the weapon to center line. Punch out to the intended target while acquiring your sight picture. Both eyes open. Smooth continual trigger press. Pay closer attention to your muzzle direction on presentation. You are muzzle up and then back down on target. Think efficiency of movement. It’s the small things that make us faster and more effective. In an actual life or death encounter your first round may be high and completely miss your mark. I’d rather miss my mark low and walk my way up to center mass but have all hits that start off high and have to push my shots down to start making hits. Practice doesn’t make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect. Just my two cents. A fellow instructor with some food for thought. Great video.

@CarryTrainerАй бұрын
Grip is about principles over specific hand placement or techniques. It's a very dependent upon a myriad of variables, as well. Suck as hand size, grip size, grip friction or lack of, hand strength, etc. I have large hands, and that's a pretty small G48, that my hands envelop. A larger full size gun may look a bit different. What's wrong with your grip now or spoken another way, what are you trying to improve?

@@CarryTrainer Thank you, after your class last February I started working on grip relaxing my shoulders and recoil control.On my next trip to the range I will try placing my index finger(support hand) on top of my middle finger ( firing hand) because when I dry fire it feels like it makes a solid shelf under the trigger guard I am working on relaxing firing hand pressure trigger finger pulling straight back and increase pressure on support hand to include pinky pressure. I won’t know for sure till I do it live fire. Thank you for being an instructor who gives your time doing videos like this

@@CarryTrainer hey Mick. I wasn’t trolling, I have so much respect for you and your instruction and courses, I literally practice and train with stuff I’ve learned from your videos. If you noticed, I asked if anyone else noticed it because I wasn’t sure if what I heard and saw was right. I didn’t hear the ding on that 1 shot and your face and reaction looked surprised to me. I know you were finger on the trigger and were intentionally firing, just to me it looked like you didn’t intend for the shot to break at that moment.
