This was super interesting, because I learnt this by myself when experimenting with my phone camera (the highlights clipping etc, I shoot photos involving the sky often). So hearing all of this in a technical scenario sort of reassured me that I wasn't doing something stupid all the while when I underexposed my image intentionally XD

That was very interesting and informative. One question though; how to determine whether my camera is "ISO variant". I have NIKON D500 and I shoot mostly stage events like dance and the histogram always is to the left because the background on stage is either black or blue and appears black in picture as the area is not lit by the lights. Hey can u tell me the lighting for m50? I myself made a soft box with 10 w normal LED bulb. It works ok in auto exposure mode with 60fps . But in manual mode with 60 fps it shows flicker. Why? I think it is the problem with light source and fps? But no issue in auto

But saurav sir, what if we shot an image at auto iso and if the highlights came too bright in image then what's the problem in that, I mean if people can shoot the image underexposed and then getting back the exposure in post only to get highlights balanced then we can also shoot the same (auto)image in auto iso settings and then lowering the highlights in lightroom application as it is possible. Then why to do additional steps, it's also a question from me and it's also a confusion that I am having (may be). Please help.🙏🏻

If the highlights are too bright you can’t recover them in post.

That means your camera isn’t iso invariant. So you should expose it correctly in camera

in a low light situation, the best option is to light the scene properly so that it's no longer a low light situation (= what if i cannot control the lighting? well it's called "photo"graphy, not snap-and-hope-it-turns-out-good-ograhpy.
