How often do we look at the sky anymore? There's a lot of cool and amazing stuff to be seen up there. A favorite skywatcher and podcaster of mine is Crrow777, I would recommend him to anyone with an open mind.

I agree, a beautiful thing to observe. I have always been moon concious since I was a child, amazed at watching it rise on the horizon, starting out large and orange, especially on a hot, humid summer evening here in SW Indiana. It has and always does stir my soul, the absolute perfection of it all. Thank you for sharing this video, I love it.

been watching the moon rise since a small boy in the boys bedroom overlooking the fields behind our house. Used to sit there by the window, and watch the clouds light up around it as it rose in the sky. It enchanted me then and still does. Sometimes at moonrise, its optical illusion makes it seem so close and so huge, once traveling to Mackinaw in the evening, it was over Lake Michigan and me, my wife, and the kids pulled over into a roadside approaching the straights and stared at it for awhile in amazement. I look for it every full moon cycle still. It does something to my soul really. Makes things around us seem insignificant compared to the eternal revolving of the solar system.
