"Shoot them dead" Philippine leader Duterte warns coronavirus lockdown violators

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said on Wednesday that he would not hesitate to have his soldiers shoot those who violate the country's strict coronavirus lockdown measures.
"Shoot them dead." Duterte's orders to the military were televised after media reports of a disturbance in the capital Manila, where residents were protesting about government food aid.
On Thursday, however, the national police chief said police understood that Duterte was merely demonstrating the seriousness of the situation in his most recent address and that no one would be shot.
The city has been under lockdown since March 15.

I’m sorry if my statement makes u down but I’ve seen hundreds of footages from all over the world and have seen some doctors, ministers and religious leader who were not able to control their emotions while giving their updates (and preach for the religious leader) and had tears came down on their faces. This gave me (maybe a lot of people also who watched it) a sign that we all are going through a tough time and no one knows when this will end. NO ONE. The government together with all the medical staff have been working very hard. Unfortunately some doctors, nurses and paramedics have gone for good. I have no more words how to describe my worries but someone has to do something and to sacrifice to protect their own people and country otherwise it’s an end to everyone.
