I love this product. Probably one of the best things I have ever purchased. Over 3 years old and thousands of rounds and still works amazingly. The only thing is you have to make sure you clean your rifle before you use 5.56 or .223 again. Too much carbon in your chamber and barrel could result in some big problems.

Need a 25 year old kid? lol. I want one for Christmas. On a more serious note, I can’t wait to have kids and teach them about guns and safety and why they are important. Let’s do what we can to ensure my kids, their kids, and so on have that right. The 2A is on the chopping block and a lot of people are really active in fighting against it. Let’s demonstrate that same momentum. Sorry to get political lol.

Have owned the conversion kit for several years now and it has never failed and is more accurate than most folk think. This may also have to do with the twist rate. Using my 16" carbine with 1:9 twist, it shoots very accurate, like nickle size groups or less at 50 yrds. Like you said, your rifle will get very dirty, not to bad in the chamber, but the FCG will get really caked with powder.
@dshteynvil

I had this kit for like 8 years and shot plenty of rounds in my AR. I went a long time in between cleaning it and fired .223 a lot in between. I never had any jams with the .223 but the Conversion bolt does have ejecting issues if You run it dirty for too long. It’s accurate enough but you may have trouble hitting a clay pidgeon at 100 yards. The longer your barrel the more accurate from my experience. It’s pretty poor with barrels shorter than 16”. Keep in mind the ar has a 1:7 to 1:9 twist rate while the .22 has a 1:16 which is a big difference. I ended up getting a 9”. .22 barrel and the thing can hit small targets at 100yds. This is a great product.

@@dr.mcstuffins5977 no issues at all relating to gas tube, cycling or ftf(failure to feed). The true test for that would be it firing while suppressed. I didn't fire while suppressed. It is recommended however to fire a magazine of 223/556 after firing 22lr, due to carbon build up from 22lr. Firing 223/556, afterwards helps dislodge alot of residue and makes cleaning the barrel easier.

Bro, "they" aren't economically killing the 2A. More people are buying their first guns and ammo for them, and ammo suppliers are having trouble meeting demand. If anything, the 2A is getting better and better because more people are seeing the merit of gun ownership for self defense.

@@themadkraken1912 California, which is the heart of communism in America, makes you have an 20 dollar background check on every firearm sale and has a tax on all 2nd amendment sales. They can't outright ban guns, but they can restrict them, cause them to be overpriced, and economically inhibit you from owning them affordably. Why do you think Obama who was thwarted at every turn to reinstate an Assault Weapon Ban, decided to throw out as many Executive Orders as possible banning importation of ammo like 5.45 and 7.62x54r, because that was the cheapest ammo you could get that would pose a threat to home intruders that he wants to supports. He and they can't stop people from buying guns, but they can make the ammo so expensive you have to take out a loan to buy a magazine full of ammo. Biden literally said he would ban importation of "assault weapon ammo," also known as all cheap ammo.

Running this on my 7.5" AR pistol with a muzzle brake and it works perfectly! The only issues I've had were with old ammo that had been sitting in a box for years, it had some misfires which were easily cleared. Had a couple of failures to feed as well with the old ammo which I attributed to old powder not moving the bolt back far enough to pick up the next round. Once I switched over to new ammo it ran and ran and ran, no issues. I even shot some subsonic without a suppressor and it ran those perfectly too! Gonna need to get a 22lr can for this setup so I can have some quiet fun! 22lr is getting pricey too, but not nearly as much as 556 so if you have an inclination pick one of these kits up and go out and enjoy your ARs and bring that Ruger 10/22 along to compare!

I bought this a year ago, thousands of rounds later I can’t recommend it highly enough. Is is ammo finicky, Winchester runs great. I can’t complain about accuracy, 40 yards it’s a nail driver even with a 1:7 twist. I have a ballistic drop reticle zeroed with 5.56, when I rotate it up to 6 it’s phenomenal! 5 stars!

Also to note CCI ammo or round nose 22. Lr flat nosed winchester will not cycle well. Great product. Just recently showed this to one of my buddies who builds and with the ammo shortage this was great.

Boy, that brass ejects with some serious authority. But judging from what I saw, it is seriously consistent when it does come out. Even on the rapid fire sessions, the path the brass took never varied more than an inch or so up and down. Pretty darn cool.

I'm ready to go try mine out tomorrow. I bought the Bore Buddy reliability kit for it. I was about to put the bolt buffer in. However after reading the instructions, I found out that you are NOT supposed to use the little black bolt buffer with this kit UNLESS you are using a bolt buffer weight with it. So I will only end up using the buffer plug To keep better pressure forward on the bolt conversion kit and the insert that goes inside the charging handle to reduce gas blowback through the charging handle.

Couple of points: .22lr is hard to get as well, and if your going to use a brace following the ATF letter a couple of days ago, at least tell people to go comment on the letter, or make those who may not know about it aware of it. Love the channel.

I had a cmmg conversation kit for several years and up till today I wasn’t very happy with it because it would stove pipe a lot. So I took some of my reloading lube and wiped down 40 shells and they ran flawlessly happy again. I guess it was me and not the bolt carrier. Pew pew.
