The bots in the first two Battlefield games aren't great, but the plethora of mods keeps me coming back despite that. So much cool stuff to see! As for Battlefield 2, while it requires a mod to play full-size maps with bots in the vanilla game they are surprisingly good. Plus most of the mods you can find now that alter gameplay or add new content (like AIX2, Point of Existence 2 or Forgotten Hope 2, the last of which can be installed as a standalone so may be worth covering in a later video) _do_ include bot support of their own for a majority of their maps. Lots of quality material there!

I'm glad, cause I just picked myself up a copy on ebay. It's the collection in the ea classics box. I hope it's gonna run on a modern PC, but I guess so.

@@marco1941 Can confirm, I run a Windows 10 system and all 4 of the original BF games (including the unmentioned 2142) run great! I don't know _precisely_ which game you picked up so I'll give a quick little rundown of how they each fare, with the assumption that they'll be running with a NoCD patch which I highly recommend doing for convenience's (or necessity's, I'm not sure anymore since I've had them patched for so long) sake. Wall of text incoming: 1942 doesn't have any outstanding issues, if you want to play it online a patched .exe that points to a new community-hosted master server (that I think doubles as a NoCD patch) can be found on ModDB. Vietnam is a pretty tricky one, it absolutely _requires_ a NoCD patch due to its use of SafeDisc DRM which completely breaks its native compatibility with Windows versions beyond Vista. It also needs an extra sound patch from ModDB to get the ambient sounds and vehicle radio working again. Lastly if you want to run mods you can't do it from the in-game menu, and will need to create a shortcut to the bfvietnam exe and add +game [ModFolderNameHere] to the end of the target field after the end of the quotation marks. If there's any help needed with all of that I'd point to the HelloClan Discord server, they can get you set up and working damn near perfectly. BF2 doesn't have any _major_ issues, but on some setups I've noticed black flickering spots can dot the terrain for no discernible reason. I think turning the texture quality down to at least Medium fixes the issue. Aside from that online play can be achieved via BF2Hub. 2142 has two methods to get the game running, as it originally asked for an online authentication on first-time startup. - Method one is to just use the 2142 Reclamation client, which will allow you to setup the game in practically the same way it would have been back in 2006 by creating an account and then being granted access to the game. - If you aren't interested in online play at all and just want to have some fun with mods you can download a Generic Offline Account from ModDB (since you can't access EA's master account server to make one anymore) and temporarily disconnect your PC from the internet on your first launch of 2142 to prompt the game to let you play with an offline account. Subsequent launches will ask you if you want to try and reconnect to the master account server, selecting No will allow you to proceed as normal. Overall I recommend using the Reclamation client over the offline workaround, but if you _really_ don't care for it the option is there.

I think rainbow six had bots , time splitter series , unreal tournament, plants vs zombies , ravenfield .... In general I love games with offline bots because what if the game dies but yet you still want to play it. I live Conor reloaded and angels . Didn't know lost planet 2 had offline bits, when I was smaller I just assume it was just a story game only
