Good LORD Jeff has mellowed in the past decade or so…I have a difficult time dealing with the overdone schtick. Nowadays, we’re lucky to get all the geology and mining education without quite so many*_YEE HAW_*s and such. I know, I’m a wet blanket…but only after I’ve been tortured with all the yelling for a whole show. Cheers Jeff, it’s been fun to be a part of the transformation! Pretty sure Lila had *something* to do with it…😂

Many Thanks @Jeff for all the great info and I am going to learn dry washing this year and will definitely leverage your tips.

A well built clever machine, and I hate commercials, but that was actually informative if a bit whimsical, and there wasn't a huge bit of gold in the pan at the end to try and hype it up. I would suggest digging out a small trench in line with the wind and placing the blower engine down in that, the ground should absorb 30-90% of the engine noise, a big muffler might reduce it another 30% or so.

jeff, that polyester matting is amazing! i have noticed the effect static has on fine gold in a snuffer or pan, so it really makes sense the have the polyester creating the same effect to trap the fines, all your profit is in the fine dust... i would run out and get me one of those, if i could find a spot on my claims dry enough to set it up lol if you would be kind enough jeff, to do me a favour on any upcoming video and explain the difference between placer mining and hard rock mining. i know you have in past videos. maybe show a couple examples of old videos clips of prospecting both ways and classify them for the beginners. i always get asked that by beginners so it must be a common question. i am 99.9% a hard rock miners, the odd nice day i will toss a sluice in a creek and 'sample' a bit mainly for a relaxing day out of the heat and dust and stay cool in the creek... ahhh i can't wait till spring lol..

finally i got my keene 140. I poured some flour gold i crushed with rock crusher. Smaller than 120# mesh. And slowly increased air flow. The gold particles started vibrating, jumping. I left the speed of engine such that gold particles jumb by half the height of metal trappers. Not sure does gold have to vibrate or jump like that. And can't figure what size the rocks need to be classified so that they don't end up sitting in there and clogging the system.
