I'm going to echo a common, (possibly growing), sentiment here I reckon. I love this guy; he's been the motivating factor in my return to shooting and current passion for foxing. His skill, knowledge and general persona are all good and are why people like him. I fully understand why Mark has partnered up with the professional channels, (its no bad thing, the quality of the productions and the variations in kit are good to see)... but please... don't over 'neuter' his technical input and natural approach. I reckon most of us like the technical info, (his comments on powders, bullet weights etc.) as well as liking to get a look at what's on the market. We will come to your channel to watch Mark do his thing and to see what new kit he is using... the kit, (if it's good), will speak for itself. It's a fine ballance fellas, don't push things too much one way down the advertising path. Put too much water in the soup and you'll weaken the flavour. My view for what it's worth.

Thanks for your feedback, and rest assured we are definitely not trying to "neuter" Mark's technical input... he has freedom to do and say exactly what he likes in these videos. We're really glad you're enjoying the production quality, and if our audience would enjoy some more detailed technical information on bullet weights and powders etc, then we will take that on board and talk to Mark about building some into the upcoming videos. Seems like you understand the need for sponsorship on this channel (if you're watching for free, it doesn't mean it was free to make, and we can promise you its' not cheap). Again, thanks for your input and feedback - the most important thing is that you guys are enjoying the films, so we are listening to feedback :)

@@ShootingCountryTV Evening fellas (ladies too). Thank you for the reply and maybe my use of thecterm 'neutered' was a little, dramatic. Yes, I do understand the need for a commercial approach, (and support it); these things do cost money. I became a Fieldsports Nation member for this very reason. Likewise I'm happy to purchase a product via a link if it means that a channel I like earns a commission. Shooting/hunting channels need outside commercial support if they are going to exist. I've purchased several bits of kit on the back of Marks opinions. In truth KZbin is the go to place for shooters looking for advice on kit, (where else can you go!) Getting to see Mark use various kit is good; but I, (and others), also like the 'journey' he takes you on when he goes out shooting. He has a connection with the viewer but this is easily lost. If the video becomes 'too' Hollywood sunsets and cleaver silhouette images then the viewer will become detached, they will be 'watching' Mark, rather than 'accompanying' him and if this happens, I think it would be damaging. I hope things progress well for you all and that business will be a success.👍

watched you for a while now Mark and wonder what do you do with all the fox carcasses
@260rips3 жыл бұрын
Normally they end up in the farms ‘dead bin’ and this is disposed of by contractors. You could also bury or burn them. A lot of shooters in very rural areas may well just throw them in a hedge and let nature take its course but you should really make every effort to dispose of them properly 👍

Nice work, as an old school shooter, I find it fascinating that you can swap scopes without re -zeroing. Could you please give us a run down on the mount systems you use for this?

Great video, but one question...........dont you need to re zero when you swap scopes? I've swapped scopes in the past and they neve hold their zero.....
@260rips2 жыл бұрын
No we are using Sportsmatch quick release scopes which hold zero 👍
@paulking80553 жыл бұрын
Do your research on those Wetherby Rifles, don't get caught out paying over the odds for a lower spec rifle and think you're getting a better one.
@danielyoung2823 жыл бұрын
When you change scopes over do you rezero again?

No need the Sportsmatch mounts hold zero when used with a picatinny rail 👍

Nice video Mark, when are you going to get back to your own channel and get back to the super long crows and magpies which I think is why everyone watches them.. seems a bit of an advertising show now.🤔
@260rips3 жыл бұрын
To be honest I’m trying to make a living from all this kinda stuff now and my channel pays nothing which is because there’s no advertising on it (you earn peanuts from KZbin itself) which is why I don’t post videos that often. For this channel and the shooting show they have a budget paid by the advertising so it pays me for the time I spend filming and editing 👍
@thebigcapt3 жыл бұрын
@@260rips I thought that was main reason, need to earn a living. Maybe you can liase with them for some long range birds or Charlie's. Everyone enjoys them so much.

Shooting across power lines ???????????????
@ShootingCountryTV3 жыл бұрын
Mark knows his ground verrry well ... The fox was shot well above the power lines in the rough grass and rolled down the bank to where the camera panned back. The camera is also filmed from a lower angle from which mark is shooting also giving a different perspective to what mark is seeing. At no point was he in danger of hitting the power lines with a clear line of sight well above them as well as additional elevation above the target to allow for bullet drop.
