In this week's episode of Move with Rhino, we wanted to show how to shoot solid establishing shots. Establishing shots are a great way to open your video or short film. It gives the audience a feel of setting, surroundings, and story. These types of shots can be taken many different ways. We decided to show a establishing shot with a gimbal, slider, and drone. On the first shot, why would you want ISO 1600 with an ND? Seems to me that dropping the iso and removing the ND would produce cleaner shots. I normally shoot photos and not video so maybe I'm missing something...

i own a 42 inch rail system and I am unable to use one tripod (like in your videos). I have to use two- one on each end, otherwise the rails tilt when the camera slides... Does anybody else have this problem? Is a single tripod (centered) only usable with the shorter rail system?

Wish they would spend more time on setting up this 42 inch slider. I'm honestly regretting not just getting the 24" at this point. Everything I've seen online and tried in person requires a tripod on each end with the 42" and that makes it a bit tough to film on the move and set up/break down in multiple spots

Principled Propaganda this is the exact question I was thinking. Do you use only 1 or run all three together? I’m thinking maybe one. But what do you want multiple establishing shots? Like start with close ups of things to show the ambiance and nuance and then a wide shot to give it to them like BAM. if that makes sense. Pls respond when possible to let me know what you came up with.

Why did set shutter speed 1/120 For drone shot?

Because the frame rate was at 60fps, and so the rule of thumb for shutter speed is to double the frame rate in order to get a more natural look.
