I’ve been using this for about a month with my 500 CM. I use a PME 3 prism viewfinder/meter and it clears the NONS back just fine. Great video.

Nice video. I have been enjoying the NONS back paired with my 503CX for the past couple of months. I take it with me every time I take out my Hassy now. I find that underexposing by a half stop helps retain the highlights for a perfect exposure.

My number one wish from Fuji would be an ultrawide Instax Square, something that would have a field of view the same as the 38mm of the Hasselblad SWC. While I know that you can use the Nons adapter, maybe others, but that still leaves the obvious problem-you have to have a Hasselblad. But I just think an ultrawide Instax, similar build to the standard Mini and SQ models, would be a lot of fun and a big hit.

I have a Mamiya RB67 and the Binstax is increcible. It keeps the battery-free operation of the Mamiya, so you *Never* need to worry about power, it is a 6x7 camera both vertically and horizontally, so there are no borders whatsoever, and as far as I can tell, It is not prone to light leaks. I wish the Mamiya RB67 had a better lens lineup, but even shooting at F/3.5, the shots are amazing.

I am so soooo tempted. I have so many Instax cameras and want a proper lens for any of them. The Graflok back for my 4x5 is nice, but too cumbersome to be honest for shooting it a lot. And this maybe makes more sense with the square format... as I love Instax wide the most and wish they would make a wide slr... that would be the best option, but maybe I will go with this for now. thank you for the video.

Ooh nice! I’ve been shooting with the HassyPB. It’s great bc it spits the film out in the proper orientation (with white side down) but it does have the focusing compensation issue

I love it that every Nons Back i have seen has that little scratch that you get when you try to advance the film with the darkslide still in place. Heck, mine has it as well...

I have been using my 500CM with the PM prism with no problem at all. My setup since 1990.

I doubt that the black border is caused by the image circle of Hasselblad lenses not being large enough. For one thing, many of them are able to cover IMAX which is almost 70mm in width. And for another, if it was a limitation of the lenses not being able to cover these image size, it would show as a circle not as a rectangular border.

I didn’t mean the lenses, those I imagine have much larger circles as you said. I essentially meant the rear “gate” of the camera is limited in size as is it was not intended for this back or format.

I think it is weird that you don't mention that you can't wind the camera with the dark slide in, as the darkslide is on the right instead of the left like a normal back. I know you know this because you have a long dent in your darkslide just like I do on mine. It isn't really hugely important, just a note. I love my nons back, and given the image is a square, I usually frame up, focus, then rotate 90 degrees so the pod is on the bottom. This back is wondeful given that youdon't need adjust the ground glass nor do you have to add a weird lens to the front to make the camera focus properly; it just works.
