The officer kept saying it was an outside restaurant at the airport. So it wasn't inside the airport. The airport police were closer to the airport itself. They were the 1st responders. Sorry this representative is very unprepared to speak on this matter. Sounds like her very 1st time doing this.

Initial thoughts: All one family, one woman, and two males were shot, the woman has life-threatening injuries, and the shooter was found in the terminal-four garage with a stab wound and accompanied by a juvenile female. The altercation began at a restaurant in the public concourse outside of the TSA checkpoint. Let me translate this report for you: The man with the stab wound in the garage is the juvenile female's father. The woman shot in the restaurant is the mother. The mother and father were there to exchange custody over Christmas. The two other men who were shot are the woman's brothers or family members there to either protect her or to ambush the father. One of those two men stabbed the father just prior to him pulling the gun. The three people shot at the restaurant are all Hispanics and the man who was stabbed is probably Hispanic but could be white.

Big problem with that is then people wanting to check their weapon for legal transport in their bags wouldn’t be able to without a whole different setup for that. I don’t fly often but when I’m going to visit family I usually have at least a handgun & sometimes a rifle (my son & I like to go shooting when I’m there) so I have to go through the weapons check & inspection process when I check in. Having to try to do that at the curb would be difficult at best.

That was pretty dumb that dude came to the airport armed because one thing you learn when taking a pistol permit or concealed weapon safety course is that, if you have foreknowledge that there may be a confrontation at a location you are presently not at, under no circumstances are you allowed to arm yourself and go to that location. Even if you end up finding yourself in a genuine self-defense situation, you can still be charged for escalating the situation by showing up with a firearm. If you believe you have foreknowledge of something bad going down, you're supposed to contact the police if you think it is serious enough, do not go grabbing your gun and leave to go to that destination. You will only make things worse.

Long story short, there was so many homeless looking people talking to themselves drugged out of their minds, clearly on fent or tranq drugs. You want to help them, but once they reach that point of no return, it's all they care about. I blame the Biden administration for this.
