the variable iso seems really nice. for a more dramatic deeper effect 100 iso is the way to go!

Like clothes and fashion , everything comes back around, but then im 76 and started taking photographs from the age of 10. this reminds me very much of the 60's maybe the 70's with the different Cokin filters that were all the rage, and infra red film

Black & White infra red film is still available, it gives a nice white foliage dark sky look. You typically use a cut off filter that blocks out all of the white light, and have to use very long exposures, and it only really works in bright sunlight, getting the correct exposure is something of a lottery.

Interesting that that photo at 3:55 shot at 400 looks brighter than the one shot at 100. It should be the other way around right? Did you shoot the rest of the photos in the field at 100 or 400? What about the portraits of Rudi and Freddie?
@SamsonArnettRoughley3 жыл бұрын
Adjusted shutter speed to account for different iso, so they should look the same in terms of brightness. Can't remember now haha sorry.

hey i love this! i have just a regular 35mm point and shoot, i can’t change the iso, can i still use this film?
@SamsonArnettRoughley3 жыл бұрын
Yes! Not sure what the camera will meter for though... Maybe shoot the film in different lighting conditions to get a varied hue of purple?
@contaxpaulharrison9423 жыл бұрын
Most compacts use the DX code on the film to set the ISO. Lomo 35mm films tend not have a DX code, so the camera will use a default value, that should be in the camera manual. If your compact does not support exposure compensation or manually setting the film speed, you are stuck with whatever value is the default for Non-DX coded film for that camera.

Sick video, this might sound like a dumb question but how would it perform in a point and shoot where you can't set iso and it doesn't have a code to be read by the camera?

Why oh why does EVERY video seemingly HAVE to have background music over it? Yours started off so promisingly, just you talking with no background music... Hurrah! But no, true to the form of every other film instructional video by everyone else, that plink plink, plonk plonk piano music inevitably started and ruined the experience for me
