Another year, another Polaroid Week! I am so happy that I took the time once again to participate in such a fun event. Every year I try to do something special for Polaroid Week and I have been wanting to shoot Polaroids with my RB ever since I found out it was possible... SO glad it finally worked out!
Polaroid Week runs from October 18 to 23, so if you're reading this in time, it's not too late to join in! Use the hashtags #roidweek and #polaroidweek on Instagram and check out what others are posting.
As always, you can get a closer look at some of the images in today's video on my Instagram page @jesshobbsphoto
Thanks again for watching!

I wish Polaroid would go back to making manual cameras like the sx-70 and land cameras. The quality in taking manual shots like yours and an automatic camera is unbeatable. Medium format cameras are so versatile!

Absolutely brilliant. These cameras had back in the 80's polaroid backs for light and composition checking by us old pro's. We shot a lot of them as models and art directors would take them for their memories too!

Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! The cross is a subject I shoot a lot, it's located on my neighbour's property. There are a lot of crosses next to farm fields in Quebec... back in the late 1800 to early 1900's they were used as places of gathering for mass and to bless the crops because farmers couldn't travel to make it to church. This one is by far the most impressive one I have seen, and even though I'm not particularly religious, there's an odd attraction to it that I can't quite explain, so I photograph it instead! Sorry for the long reply, but thanks for watching!

I did an Instax Mini conversion on a Mamiya C33 last year. I loved the images it produced, but for a couple of reasons it was an intolerably impractical build. I'm currently working on taking the Instax Mini back that I bolted onto the back of that Mamiya C33 and working it into an instant back for an RB67. I'm not confident that I'll have it ready for Polaroid week 2021, but we'll see.... :D

one other hint/tip, with this Mamiya RB67, the shutter sound and the mirror lock-up sound ( in mirror-up mode) sound IDENTICAL, so as you did in some of the last shots in the shed, use the cable release on the LENS!, this way you are SURE the shutter has 'gone off' and can hit the eject button confidently, in the knowledge the shot is NOT wasted, for being in this unusual configuration, without you knowing.(esp. since this is nearly $2-3 per shot!!-expensive stock to deal with).
