how do you cross TSA/security with you films and camera? do you get it hand checked?

Yep, pray to the gods of film that the security people say yes, otherwise one scan on a normal scanner hasn't damaged my film

Simon Geswin so let’s say the film gods are not in my side l, should i just tell the developers that it went through x-ray?

Simon Geswin this might sound dumb but if the film is not used, does that count as 1 scan? the reason i asked is coz of course i have to fly back and it will get scanned again. did that makes sense? haha

Either exposed or unexposed it shouldn't cause much issue, still ask if they hand check first. Also have all the film ready to be checked in a ziploc bag and out of the plastic containers. If it's a big airport they probably will have no problem
