Talented musicians in the Shooting Star tribute band out playing occasionally using the name. Just wish they would be honest and bill themselves as “Shooting Star Legacy” etc. There is no replacement for the original band. (Or even the “Keith Mitchell” version in late 80s early 90s, which focused on a different direction with new songs primarily written by Van alone, but while paying homage in live performances to the songs of the original band.
@ShaggyDynamite-4160v5 ай бұрын
@@shootingstaroriginalbandfu9452 Yes, so many of the great old bands now consist of an original roadie or two. Playing with them at this upcoming show is Foghat, Head East, and Missouri. None billed as a tribute band but I do know what to expect. "Shooting Star" has been doing this for some time. A few years after their true last show they came here to St.Louis and played at an absolute redneck dive bar way out of town. I went to show not knowing what to expect and left during the very first song disappointed beyond belief.
