The reason why it was cancelled is because the guests couldn't use this show to further their career. Since the beginning it has never been about the guests.

If you watch vic and bob's omnibus, Wossy describes them as being too rabidly (i know that's a weird word to use but he said it) heterosexual to admit their love for eachother. but when the interviewer asked them if they loved eachother they both said yes, immediately qualifying it with, "not in a homosexual way"
