Took my bone stock 1940 production k31 out to 1000 yards this week at one of our military ranges here in Canada. Out of 20 rounds I made 5 hits on a 24” target. By modern scoped rifle standards that isn’t impressive, but considering the equipment I was extremely impressed

They sure are impressing AND fun! Great quality and we're very fortunate to be able to get these at a good price. Glad to hear yours is shooting well for you.

That is a cool gun. I was excited to see her shoot and you made it super watchable. Love it. Wanna see this scope and what it does to those groups

Nice looking range... I have been considering a move to N. Michigan (LP), and curious where this range is? Thanks, and a nice video here - I have a K-31 as well and it is a wonderful rifle, and enjoyable to handload for.

They really are a great rifle. I need to get out with it more often and work on some loads of my own. This happens to be a private range in NW. Best wishes if you move, there are some other great ranges in the area such as Cedar gun club that have even more spaces. Thanks for watching!

The recoil I find rather mild for k31, I Don’t know what ppl complain about. Am 125 lb 5foot 5 and shot 30-06 all day long. And 20-30 round of single buck 12 g before needing a break😊

Just ordered a second rifle from Centerfire. First one was from 1950, and had a tag. Beautiful gun.

I was (still am) very tempted to get a second one myself. Would love to have a walnut stock. Trying not to push my luck ....and budget.

@@MidwesternFC well Centerfire has a separate SKU for dark stock, light stock, and cracked stock rifles. I would say go while you can. 399 is a great deal. No, I don’t work for or receive any compensation from Centerfire. What I am is a guy who missed previous opportunities in the past.

Afaik military doctrine for those rifles was to load them top-down through the breach and remove the magazine only for cleaning. Have you tried that? Is loading the magazine directly just more comfortable? Also, have you checked under the but plate for a name tag? Often previous owners left a name tag there.
@MidwesternFC Жыл бұрын
I have for both! 1) yes, loading a mag is just easier (and more fun) for me personally. 2) it does have the troop tag and I keep it under the butt :-) Thanks for watching!

My 96/11 just launches the brass into orbit. If I was under a cover like that I'd have to watch out for brass ricocheting off the ceiling and hitting me at speed. 😆

The swiss zero them at 300 meters, the 7.5 x 55 was instrumental in developing the .30-06, its an old round but I love it. Scored two K-31's and 1 K-11 Carbine

Back in the late 90’s it was around $0.17 per round on the shooting stands in Switzerland to buy ammo for my K-31, or the borrowed Stgw57 to go shooting.
