Technically, Delta 3200 is not a 3200 ASA film but more like 1000, so exposing it at 1600 is not really overexposing it. The reason it lends itself to pushing to the advertised 3200 level is that it is a panchromatic, low contrast film. That said, I've only rarely had good results with it, rating at 800, and have given up on it. Would honestly prefer to push Delta 400 to 1600, which has yielded better results in my experience. But kudos to you for getting decent results.

Hey Matt. I love the channel bro. I have been a long time watcher. Same with Negative feedback. Both excellent resources and great places to learn about film photography. I was pumped to see this video! lol I am moving from 35mm to medium format (waiting for a mamiya 65 1000s in the mail right now lol). I am just wondering how you decide on whether to push and pull film. I didn't do much of that with 35mm, i just shot box speed, but I want to get into it. I am wondering what goes into your decision? The amount of light you will have for most shots? The results youve got in the past with certain combinations? Any advice would be great!
