The Mamiya C330 is my favorite medium format camera to shoot. I find myself shooting my RB67 more often because I'm always tinkering with it and different backs, but if I just want to shoot some 120 for fun, I'll grab the C330. It's such a lightweight and versatile system.

@@mattdayphoto I pushed hp5+ to 3200 in a museum on 35mm and the shots came out great! I used the internal light meter of my Nikon FG. TriX 400 at 3200 was a different story.
@highlander2001074 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the developer you use, I find that TriX is muddy, when I develop with Rodinol, but with anything else it is amazing film. So what developer are you using with HP5 that produces muddy results?
@Seapatico4 жыл бұрын
Muddy might have been the wrong word choice. Mostly I mean how the blacks often don't really come with you when you push film, they just stay super dark, which can rob you of detail in the blacks making them, not exactly muddy, but sort of flat and lifeless. But it turns out my film pushing knowledge is limited anyway, haha, so I'll try doing it more, now!

You are a brave man for taking a C330 out on a shoot. I used to put my C330S on a rather nice Berlebach wooden tripod and partnered it with the rare-as-rocking-horse-poo Paramender 3 for shoots. It was an awesome if heavy camera which I still wish I had.

I'm curious too about the 180mm.I have the 105mm and it's already gorgeous, but I don't know how different it is from the 80mm.2/3 of a stop of extra light and bokeh would be nice in certain situations, but compositions would be very similar.
