I got a brand new. 410 pointer over under with choke tubes..I have shot at squirrels 10 times..all misses. Upon swabbing the barrels..they are both pitted. It actually melts the wads when shot. Worthless gun regardless how nice it looks.

Hey Randy. You are such a big inspiration. I have watch almost every one of your videos and everytime you surprises me. Your commitment to nature and conservation are so fascinating and i think that every hunter in US should be greatful for having guys like you. I really admire how you look on nature and hunting and i share alot of your opinions on why we are hunters. I think that alot of people could learn from you, especially how you care for your old hunting budies and how you get so excited, even when it isnt you who have shot the animal. I live in Denmark, and we (hunters) in Denmark, are not so lucky to have the "freedom" of public land hunting. You can only rent a field from a private person if you wanna go hunting, and that is very very expensive. But i guess thats the way living in a small country. One of my biggest dreams are to go hunt big game in the US someday. Standing behind a spotting scope on a great mountain side and not being able to see any signs of human, amazing.. Everytime i watch one of your videos im dreaming about being on those plains or in that forrest. Hope you all the best in the future and in your upcomming hunts!

Thank you Anders. Very kind of you. You should come to the States and hunt. Right now, two guys from the UK are here hunting near my house. Our website helps a lot of people hunt the States. www.HuntTalk.com

Looks like some good family fun.

It is. We have been doing this for almost 20 years. It is a ton of fun for a father son. It was really fun to watch as in his early teens he started outshooting me and now it is not even a close contest. Thanks for watching.

I'm just seeing this. I've seen the Pointer shotguns but never shot one. When I see how cheap they are,I automatically assume they're crap. I'm going to have to rethink that. Thanks.

What is your take on the Pointer shotguns? They seemed to do as well! Thanks

It's tough for a rifle guy to pick up a shotgun. Living in the west the bulk of my shooting is with rifles, my brother lives in the south and most of my family lives in the mid west, they all have a lot more use for shotguns than I do and it shows when we get together and shoot clays.

There was some creative editing employed to Matthew's favor on this video. When the birds have feathers and not clay, I am usually the guy with the smug look. I do agree, it takes me a while to get accustomed to the idea of instinctive pointing the is needed for a shotgun, compared to the precision "pick a spot" and aim method that a rifle requires. Thanks for watching.

The bifocals are a legitimate excuse, my dad uses it every time. Ha ha. Good memories.

Even if not legit, seemed like a good excuse at the time. Thanks for watching.

Wish I could shoot trap with you Randy, I could reach you a few things even though I'm 14. I'm on the high school trap team in MN. By the way, What area did you grow up in in Minnesota?

Does the pointer have barrel selecter or just shoot bottom barrel first

Rumor has it that Santa Claus is working on a 20ga Pointer 1000 Field O/U for my boys... How's the ol girl holding up for you? Have an idea how many rounds you have shot through it? Thanks for sharing the vid. Good times. Merry Christmas guys.
@Fresh_Tracks6 жыл бұрын
I love it. It has over 500 rounds and shoots great. Well, it can only shoot as good as me, which leave a lot of room for improvement. My problems are not the Pointer O/U. If anything, it makes me look better than I really am.
