It’s the nature of the beast if you stop to think about where rapping (even the terminology itself comes from). Generations past referred to conversations as rapping, and the music being named rap is not a coincidence. Music programs at schools et al were cut severely around the inception of the genre, and they made do with what they had (this is a VERY abridged version). As far as movie stars go, they are normally called ACTORS, and they do just that… For the record, it’s not just rap music that people expect you to be about what you talk about (the genre ‘hardcore’ comes to mind immediately).
