I’ve had one for over a decade with no issues until recently when it suddenly stopped working.

Hi, I wanted to turn my garage into a home gym and I was wondering if this idea would work well for the gym when the garage door is closed.

Great question. I think it would help but might not fit the bill if you’re looking for a lot of air movement. My ceilings are sheetrocked so the heat is pretty close to the fans. I use these primarily to vent out fumes and they work perfectly for that. If you have an open ceiling, you might consider an attic fan or something like that.

Hey there. Unfortunately, it seems that it’s now discontinued. There may be similar products out there, but I haven’t gone looking for them yet. Have you had any luck?

@@raychan8247 oh yeah! There are a ton of them on Amazon. Just search for “retractable extension cord” and find one that works for you.

Hi Anthony! I just found your video and noticed it was posted quite some time ago, I wanted to ask if you're still satisfied with the ventilation capabilities of the VG200? Like you, I only really need the unit for venting out gases, fumes, and smoke.. not so much for airflow or cooling capabilities, but all the reviews I can find on amazon are focusing on the poor temperature regulation rather than the actual venting... Could you please let me know if this unit is sufficient in your opinion for venting the fumes from your staining? Thanks so much!

Hey Jessica! My shop is a slightly oversized single car garage. For my needs, it works great. It's enough circulation to keep fumes from creeping back into my house, which is what I wanted. Its not going to have the same power as a proper exhaust system so I wouldn't go into it expecting that. Also, I typically do my finish work on the garage door end of the shop so it's pretty close to the exhaust fans. That being said, I'm not sure how it would do in a 2 car garage in regards to strong chemical smells. I'm sure it would be fine but I can't vouch for it in that context. Good luck! Please let me know if you decide to give and a try and how it performs for you. Thanks for the comment! Anthony

+Vee Dub hah yeah it's not the prettiest thing to look at but the plastic pieces are paintable and you could get it to blend into your door pretty well.

Good question. I have spent the last 10-15 minutes looking and it looks like it is currently unavailable on Amazon and I can't seem to find it anywhere else. You could contact Alert Stamping (www.alertstamping.com/), as they own vent-a-garage and might be able to point you in the right direction. Sorry for the trouble and good luck!

Sound de-synced from video and was slightly annoying... but good video otherwise.

Yeah! The first set of videos I have on here used my old (defective) Galaxy Note 4 and a point and shoot camera. Both dropped frames a ton and I had to fight to manually sync things in my editor. I've ditched both of those and my videos now should sync up much better.
