Happy birthday, Marion! It sounds like you had a wonderful day! Thank you for sharing your mental health update with us. I agree that mental health (and therapy) is important. Also, I'm glad you get to spend Hanukkah with your family in L.A. That said, I'm looking forward to any Hanukkah (or leading-up-to-Hanukkah) content you feel like filming. Right now, I'm starting to decorate my house for the holidays. My husband is Christian so we are going to put up a small Christmas tree in the dining room. Since I am studying Judaism (but have not converted yet) I am putting winter-theme decorations elsewhere in the house. I often thought that if I wasn't a bookseller/former librarian, I would have liked to go into home decorating, because I love being creative. It looks like Target has a great selection of Hanukkah decorations. I always enjoy seeing what you find there and in other stores.

I was going to go shopping for my first hanukkah ever...we don't have a target but we got into a car accident and now I can't go.... Really love that menorah... And that donut wish we had target in canada

HomeGoods is the only store in my area that has Hanukkah, home decor. Target and Michaels does not have anything. So glad you have a great selection there.

Happy belated Thanksgiving 🦃 and birthday🎉🎁🍰 Marion. Hope you had a wonderful birthday and Thanksgiving. Looking forward to Hanukkah shopping. I used to love seeing all of the Hanukkah decor ( Dridels, table cloths,, chocolate gelt coins etc) whenever my mom and I would go to Bed Bath and Beyond , when the store was still open. When I was in High School ( over 20 yrs ago, I'm just a bit older than you 😊, Catholic all, girls school) one of the nuns lived in the Fairfax District of LA which is asyou know being an L.A girl, the Fairfax District is a large Jewish community with Factor' and Linder's Delis as the cornerstones of the community. She was also a religion teacher snd and she asked a rabbi friend ( I remember he was a Reform Rabbi) of hers to come in once or twice a month to teach us about the Torah . I think that's where my interest in learning about Judaism came from. Have a safe trip home to L.A. for Hanukkah.

Happy belated birthday! 39, Really? Wouldn't have guessed it! I would have thought 28-33. Keep up the skin routine you have. I used Clinique in my 30's, if I hadn't my face would have deep wrinkles. (English skin) Love Vlognakkah! The Shabbatome. I follow a couple Orthodox moms. How does yours differ from theirs? I know theirs is completely kosher, and entrenched in ritual. How was yours different?
