@@theTruthwillsetyoufree , nope, not saying anything like that. But Sonya, by the name of her channel, is of the Jewish faith. They celebrate life in many ways. She is opening up her world, through her channel, to show others what her life is like and to explain why they do the things they do. Someone who takes the time to stop and watch a posting from her channel should be open to what is being shown, or they probably shouldn’t have stopped to watch her post. Then to make a comment telling her she is wrong in what she believes, is not very polite and could be very hurtful. I would hope that being hurtful was not the motivator in the decision to make the post. There’s a time and place for every type of discussion. A comment here, by someone who probably does not know her personally, is not the time or the place to have a theological discussion.

My great grandfather was a Rabbi. I didn't know him, but I have always been proud to know that. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who are very much in to our families, and keeping the sabbath day holy. We don't have as many of the traditions that the Jewish people do, but for sure we can relate to hearing people say our faith is too restrictive. We don't feel that way, just as you don't. My son and I are watching the show The Chosen which is about Jesus Christ and his disciples. The show stays true to the customs of the Jewish people. We've both learned so much from the show. I have great respect for all that you do. Especially the part of spending time with your family. You're so right abt the world being a crazy place. It's so busy, so loud. Jesus Christ would be proud. I am a Christian. I was raised in Catholic and Nazarene Christian churches. I always wonder about the traditions we are supposed to keep and not to keep. You seem peaceful as God wants us to be. I always do my best to listen to what God wants. I pray for discernment, ask The Holy Spirit to minister to me and to see God’s face. When I saw Jesus Christ, he said I didn’t know his name. So I looked it up and it was originally Yeshua Hamashiach. I’ve enrolled into The Hebrew University Of Jerusalem and am learning Biblical Hebrew. How beautiful and poetic is the Biblical Hebrew language. I didn’t know how many languages stemmed from Biblical Hebrew. How amazing and intricate are the things of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit? Hallelujah! May God bless, protect, guide and minister to you and your family in Jesus Christ/Yeshua Hamashiach’s name, Amem 🙏🏼✝️

I've sitting here having my coffee thinking about your site which I just found two weeks ago I love that you have visited me with your grace and charm I think a lot of women would say I want that but I think you have to have the intention the grace and love to be able to genuinely take on as much as you have especially from such a young woman as yourself I'm 72 and I'm finally getting it I think have to shake off the charms of what culture has told us we should and learn to see what should be you're in my prayers thank you for my your site please keep ministering to us

So much more calming than how we do it, but I work….we gave up on homemade and get take out to home to crash for the evening. Your China and silver is beautiful but mostly your organization to allow for the calm and joy of Shabbat to be experienced.

Fond memories of Shabbos and Passover at my Aunt and Uncles house. I’ve always always been deeply fascinated with Judaism. I used to babysit for a Jewish family that had a lot of texts and 1970’s reform workbooks I devoured.

Thank you for sharing your experiences and thoughts on the Shabbat practice. I'm a Christian and many of our practices are similar. The difference is that we are not prohibited from what can be viewed as 'work'. That being said, most Christians do keep our Sundays free of labor as much as possible by preparing meals, cleaning the day before, and viewing Sunday as a day of worship and rest. Women attend church services in the Christian community; even with small children. But that's made easier because there is no prohibition against driving or riding in a vehicle. I remember Sundays as being a very special, God and family oriented day when I was a child. At Church we practice Communion once a month (some do more), and therefore we have the blessing over the wine and the bread too. Great memories. Now that I am in my 60s I try to continue that tradition.

I grew up Christian too and went to church on Sunday. Didn't know anything about Shabbat or the Sabbath until 5 years ago. My parents certainly didn't know. I do observe the Sabbath now by myself and fellowship with another couple in their home. We don't do any of the "traditions" but do love keeping the Sabbath and reading the Torah portions. I enjoy reading how everyone does their Shabbat and/or holy days.

This is just the video I was hoping for. I have learned so much about your traditions from your videos but the most important day was missing. I am a Christian but I think in many of the Protestant churches we have lost the deep meaning and blessings that come from ritual and tradition. After watching this I spent time with my husband talking about how we could incorporate more intentional ritual and structure into our worship and honor God better on the Lord's Day.

I believe the first thing we Christians should do is celebrate the Sabbath on the 7th day, just like Abba told us. How in the world did HIS 4th Commandment get changed to Sunday.???
@Aiko2-26-9
@Aiko2-26-9 2 жыл бұрын
@@theresahouck3516 You should definitely follow your conscience about what day to worship but the reason most Christians worship on Sunday is because there are a number of Biblical references to the Church meeting on the first day of the week, honoring the resurrection, right from the early days. There are several references in Acts and the Epistles. Acts 20:6 and 1 Corinthians 16:2 are two places that mention gathering on the first day. Ask God in prayer, discuss with your spiritual leaders and then follow your conscience. And avoid judging others.
@theresahouck3516

@@Aiko2-26-9 God will judge. His 4th commandment several times, only about 160 plus times tells us to REMEMBER HIS SABBATH. He knew we would forget. Actually if you check back in history, Constantine, the ROMAN emporer changed his Holy Sabbath Day in 321 because he was a SUN worshipper. Search and ye shall find. It is the honor of kings to search a matter out.

Your videos bring to life so much of the culture and reasons for some customs, so thank you so much; now, if only I could get that Challah braid done properly hahaha
