Very well executed storage solution. I mean the true purpose of storage is to get overview and thusly shortening the time needed in searching for what you need and you accomplished both with this one. You got yourself a new subscriber in me.

Good, intuitive process; and I liked the way you succinctly walked me through. No fluff, no stumbles. I enjoyed your professionalism, and - holy moly - I enjoyed the build! You are inspiring.

Perfect!!! I’ve been waiting for this! Too bad it came an hour after my lunch! Now I’m going to have to Q this up to watch later. Thank you for putting it out, without even watching it, I know it’s going to be chock-full of useful information for me.

Fantastic thanks for the ideas. Very instructional as was mentioned in another comment. Really appreciate it. I like the idea of using boiled linseed oil as that’ll help keep moisture off the drillbits and keep them from rusting as well. I might consider putting some camphor inside of mine, when I build something similar. When I lived near the ocean, having camphor tablets inside of the drawers for my tool chests kept them from rusting. I’m a believer in it.

I love those little metal drill index boxes, 9 times out of ten I go to drill a hole then get called to go open a jar or do one the usual husband duties, I come back and forget what size drill it was so then I look on the shank to find it was stamped with a butter roller or laser engraved with a candle, those metal boxes (even if there are drills missing) will put you back into the correct size, I must get me one of those plate style drill sizer gizmo's, what would be cool is an automatic size n stack machine, throw your drill bit in, it sorts it and drops it into the correct receptacle, could you imagine if it sharpened them for you too 😁

You did good job mate. But I think you need to make organizer for whole your store, not only drill bits organizer 😂

Pssst sharpen your bits and have a garage sale with the others.

My bits are pretty much all sharp, and I sharpen them on the spot if needed. But they break and get worn out on the upper flute edges. There was a time where I only broke or lost a bit once or twice a month and a single set of sharp bits would meet my needs. But that time is long passed. Doing a lot of drilling, through hardened materials, through welds, etc. means that I need multiple bits on hand for each size.
