It is really still winter season with the flea markets, very slowly they are starting to come again. Can't wait for May and the summer period. You have found beautiful items again Jeni.

Hello Jeni, The vignettes and tablescapes you've created are stunning. You have a wonderful eye for, might I say, casual beauty. I can see the last vignette you put together, captured in time, as a still life painting. So lovely.

Hi Jeni, I’ve been watching your videos and been following your brocante, vid grenier, flea market… shopping and of course your beautiful amazing home/property videos and been placing stuff to buy from shop. Finally, I can’t resist that antique flower jewelry dish and got it right away before finishing this video, along with a couple packs of vintage papers and ephemera ( I’m a junk journal maker) and so thankful for new combined shipping you put in the shop. Love your channel🥰 Have to add this after finish watching…yes prices at thrift stores here in the US, California where I am, definitely, Ecothrift still reasonable though, I don’t go Goodwill anymore cause I never find things I like there, St. Vincent are still good with their books.

Thank you so much got your kind message and shopping our Etsy! A great place to set on your creative table.

I think it's all wonderful and I am only half through. Back to work. This was a nice relaxing break. I so love spring and birds singing. ❤ Finally, after cooking dinner time to finish your video. All your brocante finds look beautiful in your home. I would also suggest getting a new furry friend for you guys, but it adds another challenge to travelling longer, unless you have friends to watch them. It's not a surprise that you are still feeling low after your illness. Give yourself a break and don't feel guilty for not having everything perfect yet, specially after winter. Hugs from this part of the world to yours.❤

Since you asked: Thrift store prices have gone up in my area for sure in the past couple years. Driven, at least in part, by more people thrifting for resale. Bargains are still possible but rarer than they were before "thrifting" became a mainstream trend fueled by the internet.

Thank you for taking the time in sharing your message with us! I’ve noticed inflating prices with everything but from a charity organization meant to offer inexpensive items, it doesn’t make sense for me. But definitely makes sense the way you put it. ⭐️

Yes the prices have really went up at thrift stores in Canada and US. What is frustrating is that their products are all donated and are free, so where their profits go mostly to some rich guys' pockets, it does not all go to charity. This makes me so mad..

Ohhh good point! A good friend of Justin’s who works at Emmaus said the company was corrupted with how they actually distributed the earnings. 🫠🫠🫠🫠

Love your finds and how you style them! A word about thrift shops and price rises - they have more clients these days with big issues such as homelessness because housing prices and rentals have gone up so much. So they need to raise money to support them, the unseen needy. It’s a dilemma because on the one hand many people need to furnish their homes on a tight budget also. And don’t feel guilty about buying from them - you are supporting them and those in need by buying their products 💕😊

watching all the different vlogs - and their visits to thrift stores and brocantes- it seems the bargains you all found a few years ago are not as huge a bargain now - I was shocked when I first started watching and saw the prices of some of the armoirs( for example) people were buying and the very low prices and now they are seeing an increase. The biggest shock when you come back may be the grocery store prices!
@Frenchcountryfriends6 ай бұрын
We’ve noticed a price jump in the grocery stores too. I’m not used to witnessing the inflation or maybe I hadn’t noticed before. What about people’s salaries? Are they stagnent? ⭐️ Thank you taking the time in sharing your comment with us. We appreciate it! 💫 Happy Weekend.
