Bert & Ernie are goats......Bert & Ernie are also two storage racks. I didn't even recognize the racks when you showed them installed where they had been used. Most cool

If only I could utilize Bert and Ernie to do a little sanding.. Now that would be something.

Nice shop. Just found this channel. Live in Hixson. After work I’ll take a look at your videos. Have a good day. I do a lot of CNC, laser and epoxy along with some traditional woodworking. Have a nice day

Just down the road from you in Rome. I teach the epoxy classes at Woodcraft there in Chattanooga

We actually met there last summer while I was there doing a bit of shopping. We had a bit of a chat up by the checkout counter. Hope your shop is coming along.

I really like how your Miter Saw Station turned out. What height is your overall countertop to accommodate your drawer setup?
@hillbillychic39332 ай бұрын
It's 36.75" overall height. It works pretty good and I'm 5'10" tall.

love the shop, pretty awesome. what dark wood were you sawmilling in that clip of it, possibly pecan?

That was a walnut log and it's in the barn air drying now. I think it's going to make some awesome tables because there was lots curl in it. I did a video of it and it's on my channel and called Good Walnut Bad Walnut kzbin.info/www/bejne/rH-7m2V9gNKiqc0

Nice tour, how do you like the dust collection on the drum sander?
@hillbillychic3933Ай бұрын
It works pretty good, At least I notice quite a difference if I forget to open the blast gate or turn the dust collector on.

How do you really feel about building cabinets, shop looks tidy. Keep it up.
@hillbillychic39333 ай бұрын
Tidier than normal but don't look behind the camera.

I love the look of face frame cabinets, but you probably lost a half inch or more to your drawer height. Actually all that room is available inside the cabinet, the face frame just planes off the contents at the opening. No chance of using the heating system as a cooler as well? I bet you'd have to dig deep for geothermal to find cold dirt.
@hillbillychic39333 ай бұрын
Between the face frames and the bottom thickness I certainly did lose a 1/2" but 4 or 5 inch depth would have been better. I have thought about burying a loop of Pex out in the yard because do have the extra spot in the manifold that I could lock off in winter. If I ever get the chance I will give it a try but unfortunately it wouldn't do anything about the humidity. Another project to the list.
