A table becomes a bench. A chair becomes an accessory holder. KP becomes a married person. And a garage becomes a shop. Transformative video!

Nice work on converting the garage to a shop KP. You did great on converting the table to a bench. In answer to your question- a table becomes a bench when you clear the dishes and then begin making something on top of it. It becomes a shelf when you pile so much stuff on top of it that it can't be used as a table or bench. I have examples of both in my shop. Thank you for today's video and best wishes for a great week ahead.

In case people don't know this, and you didn't go into detail: Masonry bits really want/require a hammer drill to work. The flared bit at the front essentially acts like a chisel, which requires the hammer action to do anything useful. The remaining twisty parts along the shaft are just to extract the rubble from the hole. Also a hammer drill is not the same (or even related) to an impact driver. With an impact driver, the impact actually drives the rotation, as the name suggests. So the hammer strikes are in the rotational direction and follow the rotational motion. With a hammer drill, the strikes are forward, along the drill into the wall, to periodically drive the chisel-head into to stone/wall and chisel out the desired hole.

Yes! Thanks for sharing that tidbit. I don’t have a hammer drill, but it would have been SOOO much easier.

Ok, if I ever do end up being able to put together a shop I will have two benches at different heights. This is absolutely brilliant and not just for kids. Also, that was a huge chunk of work clearing out that space and making it usable. You should really pat yourself on the back or get someone else to do it. 💚

Full marks for keeping a shorter child-friendly bench. After a hard day's work you might find it handy for seated fiddly jobs like soldering, engraving, sharpening and carving. But best of all, you'll give youngsters a chance to try things.

True, and lower benches can be surprisingly handy and ergonomic for eg kneeling on a piece of wood to quickly clamp it, while sawing from an ideal position. KZbinr Rex Krueger uses one all the time...

I would like to make nice comments but is this really so interesting to watch how somebody cleans up a garage?
@cosmicinsane516
@cosmicinsane516 Жыл бұрын
Not in itself no, but it’s a new channel, and regular content production is the best way to help a channel grow on KZbin. If cleaning a garage is what the creator is doing for the channel this week, then they might as well put it up. Pretty much every maker channel at some point posts shop cleaning/update videos. Besides, it reminds me how badly I need to convert my pole barn into a workshop, when it is presently a workshop covered in several tons of garbage and empty beer cans.
